"I have a whole house protection policy. They didn't actually do the repair. I have the insurance policy through them and they contact someone to come out to do the repair. It's a $75 co pay."

"Very professional. Jeromy wore a mask. He was polite and cleaned up the area after the install. I have a Choice Home Warranty and called them for the plumbing repairs. All i had to pay was a contractor service fee. In the future if i need a plumber i will ask for the Company OSP Plumbing in the Henderson/ Las Vegas Nevada area and ask for Jeromy."

Overall, the project was a huge success! The kitchen remodel project turned out much better than I could have ever imagined! Everyone who sees the kitchen cannot say enough about how beautiful it looks. On a side note, I didn't understand the value of good craftsmanship until I saw a friend's kitchen remodel that had numerous flaws which stuck out like a sore thumb! Little things, like, are the cupboards at the right height? Do boards meet evenly? Is everything installed correctly? These "little" flaws add up to one big eyesore if they are overlooked along the way. Butler Enterprises took the time to address the fine details and as a result, my kitchen looks fabulous!

The project moved along at a nice steady pace and was completed in about 60 days. The only delays occurred when the floor and countertop folks took longer than expected to deliver their product. I guess we don't have control over everything! I cannot say enough about the quality and charactor of the crew from Butler Enterprises. Hire these guys if you're in the Topeksa/Lawrence area and you'll get the job done right. Hire someone else and...well...best of luck to ya!"

"Let me start by saying the end product is beautiful, and I am really enjoying my new kitchen.  Having said that, there were some challenges and issues during the remodel which, I'm sure, to a certain extent, are a part of any remodel.

I was told the remodel would take 3 weeks ... and it took double that amount of time (6 weeks).  From my perspective, one of the reasons the schedule was doubled had to do in part with the custom color of my cabinetry. Some of the cabinetry doors and drawer fronts and refacing materials had to be reordered for various reasons.  The materials were reordered and delivered in a timely manner; however, the materials were not inspected at the time of delivery and when the materials were ready to be installed (a week later), it was found that the custom color did not match which, effectively, added yet an additional week to the schedule for the materials to be reordered and delivered.

Another factor that added somewhat to the schedule being extended was the fact that, at times, communication regarding the details of my project between the Cabinet Clad parties (owner, project manager, subcontractors), was not as clear and complete and as timely as I had expected or would have liked.  With that said, I want to give a "shout out" to Sherrell Smith (Blue Springs Office Manager).  I believe because of  her involvement and oversight, and staying in constant communication with me, the schedule wasn't extended any longer than it was! 

Regarding the subcontractors used by Cabinet Clad, I would give all of them a grade of "Very Satisfactory" to "Excellent" ... with the exception of one.  The one subcontractor that I had an issue with was the flooring subcontractor.  While the actual installation of the floor itself was done very professionally, and the floor looks beautiful, the two individuals doing the installation exhibited attitudes that I found to be unprofessional and confrontational at times.  Additionally, they were the only subcontractor that did not clean up after themselves in a satisfactory manner; i.e., while they did sweep the significant amount of sawdust from my driveway, they chose to sweep all the sawdust off the driveway on to the top of the mulch in my landscaping rather than disposing of it.  (FYI ... this incident and my feelings about the flooring subcontractor were discussed with the owner and project manager at the final walk-through for my project.)


Again, having offered the comments above, I ended up with a beautiful kitchen ... one that I am very proud of and enjoy working in!"

"It was very preliminary.  I realize it was only $50, but it didn't accomplish much and I still needed an architect.  The plan was supposed to be scaled, it really wasn't.  It only indicate a dimension of the existing stiars.  The rooms were not dimensioned or scaled. 
I had trouble getting an email attachment from him in a format I could open and view.  
I wouldn't blame the provider, but I would say it really isn't worth it to go only to a $50 level.   Just hire an architect and get something you can use for permitting and construction.
