"I have used this company before, for a patio at our old house, so when I moved and so I would need a new sidewalk I knew who to call. Derek, the sales person and estimator,arrived right on time and was very professional in suggesting a design for the new sidewalk. He also suggested that we could use some of the existing flagstone to build a pad for our trash cans around the side of the house. they told me they estimated the work would be done at the end of August, but they actually came out two weeks early to do the work. on a hot day, the team worked hard and was very efficient and precise. Mr. Morgado the supervisor was there at the beginning and we discussed and confirmed the work to be done...then he gave clear instructions to the crew. They did a super job, and it looks terrific...attractive and professional. Santos the crew leader confirmed things with me before doing them, like how to handle a tricky step up from the driveway. We are very pleased with the sidewalk and have gotten several compliments on it."

"Ballard Enterprises did an amazing job! Prior to the work beginning, the landscape architect came to our house and spent time talking with us about what we wanted and offered ideas and suggestions of his own. He spent time outside in our backyard--in pouring rain--getting a feel for the space, understanding our vision, and taking measurements. The resulting quote and landscape diagram were detail-oriented, which we love. The half-circle end of the patio was our idea, and when we suggested it, he saw the vision for it immediately and incorporated it enthusiastically (i.e., there were zero issues with "your ideas" vs "our ideas"). I cannot say enough about how hard-working, incredibly skilled, and friendly the landscapers/stonemasons who did our work were. The stone wall in particular is a work of art. They were an incredible team. They started early in the mornings and they worked late into the evenings; all in one of the hottest stretches we had that summer. The landscape architect and owner stopped by periodically to perform quality checks. Our backyard--which was formerly a drab, empty space--is now simply beautiful. The work Ballard performed for us included: - installing a large paver patio; - installing a fire pit; - building a brand-new, stone retaining wall; - installing completely new flower beds (outlining, tilling, composting, planting, mulching); - installing underground drainage with three new pop-up drains; - installing a rain barrel; - propping up existing heat/AC units that were tipping over due to soil erosion, and redirecting water flow away from them; - tearing out the old concrete patio. We love our new backyard. It is gorgeous! We continue to use Ballard Enterprises to weed and lay mulch each spring. And we buy all of our annual potted flowers at their nursery."

I have been over the top careful about who to select for this big of a job and Jeffrey (DJA Landscape) was super patient (7 years!!!) and has never put me under any pressure even when I bid out with competitors. After hearing everything about his company, seeing his work, comparing it to others and never feeling pressure, I completely trusted him and his company to do a great job and they did. Everyone, his crew and Jeff himself, work so hard. They are always working (besides the well-deserved lunch break), they are some of the hardest working people I have seen and I was at home every day and my dad watched from afar with his German-patio building standards and he also complimented them from the distance. The crew is extremely skilled and they don’t cut any corners. They all work like a well-oil machine — everything is carefully scheduled and planned. There is no downtime because materials are missing… or such.. everything is always ready. Jeff is great at communicating throughout the process with me and his crew and he checks in and comes by every day. It’s also very easy to communicate with his team who listen and address/change if you have any concerns at all. Jeff will be honest with you, he might not be the cheapest on the market, but after doing all of my research, he is very competitive with other companies and in his case… costs matches value. I highly recommended DJA Landscaping. I am super proud to attach some before and after pictures. I never had a patio before and now I can enjoy the outdoors."

"We received a few estimates and narrowed it down to two one being James (the owner)
He was great to deal with, has awesome technology to design the job and priced right in line with the best estimate we received.
It was really a coin toss at the end and we picked someone else to do the work but I am certain James would have done a great job.  I would say my wife and I went back and forth a dozen times before we finally just had to pick between the two.
If in the future we need another porch or patio I will 100% call James again.

"Mark was trying to do this work for me during an extremely wet time this year. He was in constant contact with me about what their schedule was like and how behind they were due to all of the rain. He even came out on two separate days just to try and get as much of the work done between rain storms as possible. He and his crew showed up when they said they would, and did all of the work which we had talked about. All of the work was done quickly and very well. I will be having Mark come back and do more work for me during this spring/summer."
