"Initially, the service provider did a good job cleaning, prompt and thorough. After several months, started to see a deterioration of quality of service. It appears they either lost good help, or increased their business but the quality of their cleaning suffered. When I provided feedback, one of the owners apologized and ensured that a better job would be done in the future. A week after that, the second owner called and decided they weren't being paid enough to clean the house, and wanted to increase the price by over 25%! (from $115 to $140!). So, if I understand this logic, you don't do a good job so you raise your price? They indicated that they paid their staff by the hour, and it took much longer to clean my house that anticipated. So it took them months to figure this out, and only after I called to complain about the quality? Let's see, if I got paid by the hour to clean, I guess it would take me longer to do it too, so I can get paid more. Very disappointed in this company, I think they need a course in Business 101.

The fellows provided by Short's to do the painting were very hard-working individuals.  They arrived each day promptly and went right to work.  My observations of the work in progress indicated a  great attention to detail.  They repaired many areas of drywall and did drywall skimming to insure smoothness of the walls to be painted.  They worked through the day with barely any type of rest period.  They had to match stain for a new doorframe that was not original to the house.  They did a perfect job on that and you cannot tell the stain from the original.  I was quite pleased with the work overall.  I did, however, notice a few days after completions a small area where paint bubbles had dried on one wall which I reported but after 2 months it is still not repaired.

***This is a FOLLOW-UP to my recent review submission on Short's Painting.  In my submission, I commented at the end that I was pending correction of a minor flaw in the painting work they had done for me.  As soon as Mike Short read my submission, he immediately called to set up an appointment to get the flaw corrected.  He also reminded me that he had contacted me shortly after my initial concern was reported to him but I was unavailable at the time he could send workers out.  I will say, though, that I never had any doubt otherwise.  I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
