"On Friday, April 25th 2014 I was having a vinyl floor installed at my house in my kitchen.  I have a bi-level single family home so my kitchen is right above my family room.  The flooring installers, American Carpet South, were nailing down underlayment and put a nail through one of my water pipes.  I walked downstairs and heard dripping so I ran and shut off the water and the ceiling was soaking wet.  I immediately came to Angie's List to look for plumbers to call and saw the good reviews that EFD had so I called them and the owner, Ed, answered after a couple of rings, I frantically told him that I was looking for someone to come out that day and see what happened.  He said that he could be here within an hour or two and he held true to his word.  He came in, took a look at the ceiling and then started to remove small pieces until he could clearly see that a nail from the flooring installers went through the water pipe.  He waited at our house until his crew arrived and they fixed it within 20 minutes.  Everyone was very professional and the work was high quality.  I would certainly call them again the next time I have a plumbing issue and recommend them to anyone else.

"The windows were manufactured earlier than we expected and we were promptly contacted about installation. Although we were told the installation was scheduled for two days, the four man crew that arrived was able to finish in a single day! Each window was installed with the same consistency in quality and efficiency. Furthermore, the crew did an excellent job protecting our floors and furnishings in every room. When it comes to evaluating the installation crew, we couldn't be happier. Regarding price, we probably paid more than we should, but that's on us. We advise getting several other quotes first and then get Castle's quote. This will definitely help in your negotiating. "I was in constant contact with them,by phone, before  the installation. I was nervous about what I had chosen and was invited to take my time and go to the showroom to see it on a larger scale. Measuring day and day of installation the crew were prompt, very clean, very professional. Everything was covered during installation and they happily answered any questions I had.  There was a very small problem with one of the countertops fitting correctly. "They were very nice and professional. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled with was that my son’s room was sort of a brighter green color and I found areas where they had missed the second coat. However, they came right back and fixed it. Overall, I thought that they did a fine job. We spent about $3400, but we had the entire interior of our house done. They did a very good job. I would recommend them. They were two brothers and they had some other guys that worked with them. One of the brothers had gone home to Argentina at one point and I wasn’t sure if he was coming back. If they are still around, I would definitely have them back."

"The plumber arrived at the specified time and went right to work diagnosing the problem,  He diagnosed the problem quickley and snaked out the drain.  Unfortunately, I had an additional problem with clogging shotly after the tech left & called lthe office.  They arranged for another tech to come out the next day and he found & fixed the left over problem within an  hour.  I would  definitely use McHales again & recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber.

"My experience with Kip and his team was exceptional. From the first contact Kip was professional. He was responsive, easy to get a hold of, and he was accommodating to my schedule. We agreed to a price, signed the contract, and set up a schedule with the understanding that both ($ and time) may change depending on the degree of water damage behind the shower. Dealing with contractors in the past I expected the worse, you know the overly inflated add on price you have no choice to take since your home is torn apart and an undetermined amount of time added on, but that was not the case at all. The job originally was scheduled for approximately 4 days and only took 5 1/2 days total! Mike, our tech, even came out on Saturday to be sure that the job stayed on schedule. Obviously, due to the extent of the damage the total cost of the job did increase but Kip and Mike worked together to be sure they stayed as close to our budget as possible and I am confident in the decision we made. Mike was friendly and very respectful of my home and belongings. He communicated with me through each stage to be sure I was in the loop. In between times when Mike had to wait for something to dry and such instead of standing around doing nothing, he offered to complete minor projects, like replacing 2 or 3 electrical outlets that my Husband kept putting off doing (haha). He even helped my husband move a rather large and bulky Arcade game from the basement! I work in Property Management and have dealt with many contractors of all kinds and I must say Millenium Kithcen and Bath Remodeling proved that there are still good, hard working, honest businesses/people out in the world, and that not all contractors are alike. I look forward to hiring Millenium in the future for any projects we may have."
