"Exceptional Concrete Lifting Service by Foundation Systems of Michigan I recently had FSM perform concrete lifting (also known as or polyjacking) on my cracked and sinking walkway and driveway, and I couldn't be happier with the results! From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and professional. Here’s what stood out: Flawless Results: My walkway and driveway is now perfectly level! The difference is night and day, and it has completely eliminated the tripping hazard that was present before. The work looks clean, and the structural integrity is fully restored. Professional and Skilled Team: The crew, led by Jason R, and his great assistant Chad D arrived promptly, were courteous, and clearly experts in their field. They took the time to explain every step of the process."

"Detroit Concrete Leveling diagnosed my somewhat complex driveway issues and fixed the issues as described. They were honest and efficient in quoting and completing the work. I was able to hire a snowplowing contractor after this repair."

"We had Macomb concrete co tractors 586-871-6443 replace our old cracked driveway in Windermere woods Macomb Township. I had priced our eight other companies and not only was this great company the best price. I have looked around other homes and the work and their quality was by the best I have seen. I spoke with a person named Dennis Merlini and not only did they deliver on timing, quality and price they even put the grass back around my driveway. If I could give them ten stars I certainly would have. I highly recommend this company to everyone. Great job to your whole team. You definitely understand how to go on and above and you are old school. Thank you Mike Garvonic"

"Jovany and his crew sent quote on Monday and were there by Saturday to start the job. Once they got there I let them know that the project was a little bigger than I had originally thought, and they walked us through change in sizing and change in pricing and started that day.. came back Monday to pour the concrete. I am very very happy with how the project turned out and is everything I wanted. Thank you so much Jovany and CDC!!"

"I designed the rain garden, but their staff (Jeff) gave suggestions the closer we got to the date of excavation.  I liked his ideas and we worked well together.  They connected drain tile to my downspout, dug a trench (underneath a crushed limestone walkway they had installed the year before), and excavated the rain garden.  They used the soil from the excavation to berm the garden and the other existing rain garden I have.  They rototilled the garden, mediated with compost.  They also removed turf from alongside my driveway, laid material and 4" of crushed limestone.  They seeded or rototilled areas that were disturbed based on the design. <br /> I worked with them last year and may have them back next year for Phase III - I am trying to have an environmentally friendly, low maintenance (native plants) front yard that is nicely designed.  They are a great partner. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Melvindale, MI

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
