"George Getz repaired my leaking water service line and replaced a broken valve. He arrived at 10am and gave me an estimate before he started work, and by 3pm the same day the work was completed. Very professional."

"Robert Crossman was the professional assigned to complete the water heater replacement and additional repairs in our home. Robert was courteous and professional during this time. He explained the different aspects of the install and was able to answer all questions in a fashion that made sense. The thing that stood out the most was the light conversation that made it seem like we had been friends for years! Alan K."

"Plumb Tite is first rate. From the terrific response on the phone to the on-time arrival of the technician to the smooth (and clean) repair...it is a great outfit. Bobby had all of the parts on his truck and he did a replacement of the insides of our toilet in about 30 minutes. Very well done and I feel like we were treated like valued customers. I’ll call Plumb Tite again!"

"I was not real pleased with them. It started with the sewer backed up into our basement. Then we had them come out and run a camera in the system to find where the problem was. They didn’t have a definite answer for that, but they suggested we dig it up. Once they replaced it, which they seemed to have done an adequate jog replacing it; they were extremely pushy trying to sell further services. They wanted me to replace more than just from the house to the street. They wanted to go up to the house and do a lot of excavation under the foundation that really wasn’t necessary. When I looked at the camera work it showed that those areas where they were trying to get me to change, were cleaned and opened. There was no need to do the extra work and they were very pushy about trying to get me to go for the extra work."

"Zach was great to work with. He was VERY responsive to messages and calls. He kept me up to date on the timeline and was happy to communicate about the process and decision making as it happened. KZB replaced a sewer line that ran under my concrete driveway and then did all the repaving. The work looks great and he offered guarantees on his work. Everyone on his team that I interacted with was great."

"We had a broken sewer main that needed to be replaced. We initially got a quote from another large company that seemed pretty high. We found Kyle in home advisor and he gave us a quote for a much more reasonable price. He came and did the job himself and he didn t leave until he found a solution. We had some trouble with the broken pipe under our foundation and he figured out how to fix it without having to tear out any of the basement floor. We would highly recommend Kyle for any sewer main repairs. He was also very personable and easy to work with!"

"Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was everything I couldâ ve asked for and more. Ethan was so respectful and happy to answer all my questions!! He kept me updated through out the entire process & made sure I was informed of all my options. He definitely showed me he takes pride in his job and his attention to detail in his work shows! He replaced my shower handle stem and handle. Installed a new main water shutoff valve with a pressure regulator valve, and an overflow tank, both of which entailed very restricting and difficult location and placement. Luckily Ethanâ s positive attitude and efficient work relieved the stress of such a big, unexpected repair. Great experience. Absolutely happy with my choice. 100% recommend. 10/10."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Middletown, OH

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
