"I love this company. It is a family owned company and all they do is mold remediation (removal), restoration. Set up an appointment to get estimate immediately after requesting their services on Angies List. Owner went over an examined all areas of mold on walls, etc., Sent me an extremely detailed estimate in a timely fashion and I was exceptionally pleased with the final cost for all the work to be done. Then I set up date for service to be done. Work done was much better than I imagined. Much more than just removing the mold. An eight step process is performed which includes wash and clean the air of all infected areas. More than pleased after the job was done. Followup was done with owner. Id hire them without question."

"If I could use only two words to describe Craig Kripas (owner) I would say trustworthiness and excellence. <br /> He and his workers (foreman Edmondo, and the other three) were hard working, honest, and did an incredible professional job for a fair price. They know their business, (Check out their website, it is educational, allowing you to read up and understand what Craig and crew are going to do to waterproof and make your home safe and healthy), and they do not cut corners on doing it correctly. <br /> I was married to a subcontractor for 18 years, and this is the first professional (Craig Kripas) whose work-ethic and excellence are comparable to my former husband's- who was without equal in his line of work: cabinetmaking and finish. <br /> BEFORE: Craig came and crawled through my crawlspace, took photos, uploaded them unto his laptop, and explained what needed to be done. He sent me an estimate that night via email. My crawlspace had cracks, leaking water, was moist, insulation was wet and falling down, the light plastic that the former owner had laid in the crawlspace was not taped at the seams, and had pools of water where the ground underneath it was not level. There was junk thrown in my crawlspace, no sumppump or electrical hook up, and mold. <br /> AFTER: Craig and crew were able to finish in 3 days, which was a window when the weather held out a little less than that time in early February. They  leveled the crawlspace ground, reinforced any floor supports that needed (in my 1938 bungalow), dug trenches and laid drain and installed the sump-pump, then went on to shovel and level rounded stone gravel (that does not puncture the 6 mil plastic overlay), to make it easy to crawl through. I went and inspected with Edmondo, and crawled through the crawl space. It was clean, dry, and even cozy, although a little clausterphobic for my taste. <br /> They dug window wells, and replaced the old ones, repaired the brick on the exterior around the window wells, repaired the brick around the entrance to the crawl space, built a new hinged hatch and installed it, graded the landscape so that the water ran away from my home, extended the downspouts, and probably a hundred other things that I didn't notice. <br /> OVERALL: I have never been more pleased with work done, as well as their polite, thoughtful approach. (I did not feel pressured in any way, Craig is soft-spoken, and explained and gave me choices on how he could fix the problem/ and costs per task, if I needed to do it in stages or only wanted to do the minimum).  <br /> Kraig Kripas and his crew are professional, trustworthy, do excellent work, and delivered beyond my expectations, which is a difficult thing to do. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Initial project: Grade B.  Overall went well.  Only reason for a B is that they noted that they were going to put a trench around my laundry sink as a means to prevent damage if it overflowed.  But when they came back to do the job it wasn't done.  Overall I haven't had a drop of water since the install so that is very good.  The rep was Adam. <br /> - !!!! UPDATE 20131125: Spoke to Jeff Johnson GM, he noted that this wouldn't have been an option in the first place as it could pose a local issue (gray water pumped outside the home. <br /> <br />  Warranty: Grade A. Adam (rep) noted to me that no matter where (not through windows or above obviously) water came in (walls or floor) that the warranty would cover it.  Well you don't get the warranty until after the job... and guess what?  Water up from the floors isn't covered.  Not cool. <br /> - !!!! UPDATE 20121125: Spoke to Jeff Johnson GM, he noted that this condition is covered.  My mistake. Grade changed to A. <br /> <br /> Basement windows: Grade F.  Called them and had them out to estimate putting in a basement egress as well as the other basement windows.  The rep (Brett) came out, measured, etc.  Then nothing.  I called.  I called.  The customer service team told me on numerous occasions that the "president of the company" was going to call.  He never did.  Eventually, a sub or partner of theirs called me and provided me a quote over the phone (for the egress - the didn't do the other windows).  The quote was blind and didn't take into consideration any of the data that Brett collected during his visit.  This ordeal was a TOTAL waste of my time. <br /> - !!!! UPDATE 20131125: Spoke to Jeff Johnson GM, he noted that this rep is no longer with them and that he should have provided an immediate quote for the windows.  The only time the sub should have called is for the egress...  <br /> <br /> Customer service: Grade C.  They provided a mold remediation treatment as part of the basement water proofing.  One of my walls not is showing signs of something.  So I called.  Nothing.  No call back.  Nothing. <br /> I regret going with this company.  I should have bit the bullet and spent the extra $$ to go with their competition. <br /> - !!!! UPDATE 20131125: Spoke to Jeff Johnson GM.  He will be out in 2 days to treat the location and noted he will install a hose into my dehumidifier so that it drains into the system.  <br /> - !!!! UPDATE 20131127: Jeff was out, assessed the situation and provided a clear path to resolution.  I have homework but his team will be out to solve the problem. <br /> - !!!! "My first encounter with United Structural Systems company ( USS) was last year, when I had to face the decision which company I go for foundation repair at my house in West Virginia. It was equal bids on my project from two companies USS and Alltek. Unfortunately for me, I made the decision to go with Alltek Environmental Services company at that time. Foundation repair was finished in August 2019 by Alltek (please read my review, that I placed separately for Alltek). 48,000 dollars payment later foundation been done. I finally be able to place my house for sale this year and come to realization, after inspection is done on the house, that it is a presence of water leak in the storage area. I could not believe, how it is possible, when the foundation repair was just done 8 months ago. I guess, things were not done properly after all. After numerous attempts to contact Alltek company, I finally be able to get the response with another promise to “fix it” in the amount of $9,200 or later for free…if I take off my review of their company from homeadvisor.com. Lack of professionalism, poor craftsmanship and PR was major disappointment for me. To be honest, after I been treating inferiorly by Alltek, I did not have any desire to go back to the same company. I was looking for second opinion how to resolve these issues. I decided to reach out again United Structural (who I was hoped to remember me from last year) and explain my dilemma. Bobby K. (Sales Manager for USS) come to the rescue! He was willing to give me his unbiased opinion on the situation. Bobby K, “commander in charge”, went to the house and informed me, that “downspout lines were never installed, the part on top of the ground went nowhere and tie back patch was poor quality”. Simply put it, Alltek did a mediocre job. I immediately made the decision go ahead and proceed with United Structural Systems company for repair of the mistakes. I cannot say enough praise for the USS company and manager Bobby K. This re-du project was done in timely matter, communication was superior ( needless to say I live out of state and it was never an issue), area after the job was clean up to perfection and…the garage/storage area now look dry bone and beautiful. Awhhhh... maybe I should not sell my house after all?! I have a buyer on the house, and I am closing in 2 weeks and can say with all honesty, I could not do that without United Structural help. It was exceedingly difficult situation for me, and it was resolved by USS company with flying colors. Thank you again USS. I recommend you without any hesitation!!! "Professionally dressed cleaners called to inform me that they would be arriving soon and on time. They introduced themselves to me, and, as we walked through my residence, acknowledged exactly what I wanted them to do and what not to do. We talked briefly and informed me that they had been certified as professional carpet cleaners presenting me with their certificates. Their work was prompt, efficient and professional. Any and all over-sprays were quickly cleaned up. Upon completion, the "leader" asked me to do a walk-thru to check that all work specified was done and done to my satisfaction. I was then presented with the bill for services rendered. I paid and was tol "Thank You." A few days later, I received a follow-up phone call from the office asking me about the service rendered, my satisfaction and a "Thank You" again. The following month I received, in the mail, a coupon to be used for my next cleaning."

"I spoke with David Jardine on my first call. He has someone out to give me an estimate in a week. He was out the next week to do the work. My porch was power washed and stained and looks great. David and his crew were friendly, prompt and neat."

"Rick and Co. had to gut my entire kitchen after water damage occurred. They had to replace the flooring, bottom kitchen cabinets, wall cabinets, and countertop. It did take a considerable amount of time to complete the job (I think due to the damage occurring right before Thanksgiving and Christmas and the fact that we ordered custom everything) If there was something not completed to our liking, they were quick to make it right. All in all, it took from October 2011 - March 2012 to finish all the work. They are some of the nicest people I've met."
