"Leo did a very extensive plumbing repair that required digging through my bathroom floor and replacing a huge pipe to the outside. He also prepared and installed piping and fixtures for a bathroom remodel. Always showed up when he said he would and had a great crew. Cleaned up as well. Would highly recommend. "

Customers say: Super punctual

"Guy who came gave me good advice and advised that he felt my issue was not needed for repair. He didn't try to sale me any service as he saw no need. I appreciate a plumber who isn't trying to get work out of people whom don't need it."

"Steve installed an earthquake gas shutoff valve. He carefully and thoughtfully considered the best way to make it fit in the limited space, and ultimately came up with a super-efficient solution that required a minimum of new piping. He explained and demonstrated how it worked, and how to turn it on and off. As he turned on the pilot light for the water heater after installation, he explained how to do it if I ever needed to do it myself. Quick to respond to my initial inquiry and further questions. Excellent service -- highly recommended!"

"With our rather old cabin-style home, the plumbing from the kitchen sink had a plug of hardened grease over 30 years old. We discovered this the first day when they drilled through it with a snake; we had them return a couple of days later with a hydrojet unit to clean it out. Our house is located in the mountains, and may not be particularly easy to get the equipment out here, but they had very little difficulty. They used a lengthy hose to go around the back of the house, then sent the nozzle through the pipe behind the trap to clear it out. I was originally concerned about navigating past the elbow joints in the pipe, and the fact that we have a septic tank that I didn't want to fill up; but neither was a problem, and the job was done in about an hour. The sound of the drain flowing never sounded so sweet."

"We went to Home Depot to look into replacing our gas hot water tank, which surprisingly lasted 24 years. We were given the number to Fast Water Heater Co and made the appointment. Adam came out, and after explaining all of the details on the pricing, got started and finished in less than two hours. Excellent service, fast and we are happy with the results."

"Our furnace stopped working, conveniently, on a Friday night, during the first cold weekend of the year.  We called PG&E to come out and see what was wrong, but they couldn't come until Monday, so by then we were really getting annoyed with the problem.  The PG&E guy diagnosed the problem:  it was just dead batteries in the thermostat (we just bought the house and didn't even know there were batteries in the thermostat).  However, as part of his routine safety checks, he sprayed the 20 year old furnace all over with soapy water to see if there were any gas leaks.  He found some bubbling under the control valve (the small box on the front of the furnace where the pilot light is).  He red-tagged our furnace, disconnected the gas, and said we would have to get the control valve repaired.  Great.  I called a couple places on Angie's list (including one place that came up under "gas leak repair" that didn't even work on furnaces).  The third call was a charm, and I found Manny Sr. & Jr. at Apollo Heating and Ventilation.  They were right on Geneva Avenue, just down the hill from my home at the top of South Hill Boulevard.  I spoke with the receptionst and explained our situation, but she said they didn't have anyone available until the following day.  I pressed a little more and she offered that I could try to call back around noon when Manny, the owner, would be there.  Manny Sr. was very straightforward on the phone.  He made time for us and he sent his son, Manny Jr. up within an hour or so.  Manny Jr. arrived prompt, clean, polite and professional, and most important he was very skilled at his trade.  He diagnosed the problem with the leaking control valve and he took the time to explain how they worked (there's a bladder inside and if it gets punctured, the valve needs to be replaced).  He miraculously had a replacement control valve in his van, and he had the old one off and replaced with the new one in less than 20 minutes.  The heat was back on!  Manny cleaned the area around the furnace and gave me a very reasonable bill for $389 (I think the part was around $250, the service call was around $100).  We're SO glad we didn't have to replace the furnace.  Manny said that if we maintained our furnace it could probably last another 10-20 years.  I'm a very happy (and relieved) customer and I can whole-heartedly recommend Manny Jr. and Sr. to anyone in the area who needs help with their furnace.  Thanks, Manny & Manny.  You guys are great!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Moss Beach, CA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
