"This company’s name is appropriately reflected in their competency, integrity, professionalism, and value they provide. My new home’s furnace has been having the same problem for the last two winters, and I have had the builder’s subcontractor, and two other HVAC companies try and fail to resolve condensation issue that prevents the furnace from running. Top-shelf showed up and resolved the issue which turns out to be an installation flaw. Chris took his time explained the issue and the options to repair it."

"HELP! I HAVE NO HEAT !!! I have rental properties in Idaho & I needed some help w/my HVAC System. I called 3 Big Name companies in the Valley & got estimates to “Fix my Problem”! & they would have someone out “right away”! All 3 told me my system was outdated & needed replaced. Costs ranged from $17k to $21k! I was at a X-mas party & someone told me about a Company called Fix-it-Frankie that had helped them out. I called & spoke with a guy named (I think) Brandon - WOW !! No script,no HURRY UP & SCHEDULE attitude just “Concern & we will “FIX-IT”! The next morning Ryan showed up & w/in 40 minutes it was fixed! 😊 No fear tactics,No heart attack prices just honest, friendly old fashioned service. He even put me on a Membership so this never happens again ! I give them 5 stars & will definitely call them again. Oh yeah-my total bill was less than $400 for everything ! Thx. Brandon & Ryan ! "

FAQs for water heater repair or service projects in Mountain Home, ID

Warning signs include fluctuating water temperatures, a pilot light that repeatedly goes out, unusual noises from the tank, or complete heating failure. You might also detect a rotten egg smell, indicating a potential gas leak, or notice water that never reaches the proper temperature. If your water heater is over eight years old and displaying these symptoms, the gas valve is a likely culprit. Professional inspection is recommended, especially if gas odors are present.

Water heater gas valves are not universally interchangeable. Each valve must match your specific water heater's make, model, and specifications. Important compatibility factors include gas type (natural gas vs. propane), BTU rating, connection types, and physical dimensions. Using an incorrect valve can result in poor performance, premature failure, or dangerous gas leaks. Always consult your water heater's documentation or a professional plumber to identify the appropriate replacement valve for your unit.
