"Michael did a great job recommending the right course of action in fixing my mom's garbage disposal. He was very professional and patience with my mom. He did the work for me even though I was out of town at the time. If I have another need, I will be contacting Mike at Downing."

"I had Mann Made plumbing replace toilet parts, a bidet, and a garbage disposal. They called and verified each appointment, answered any questions, and they made sure I understood what they did and how they did it. They were extremely professional, polite and courteous. I dealt with a few people from their team and they were all like that. Whether you call in or in person. Prices and services were stated up front and they have a great guarantee on there service. Great folks!"

" Beware stay away from this horrible plumbing service! Norm's Plumbing came out to fix a running toilet and leaking bathroom faucet end of 2025. In the end, which took several months to fix, it cost 800.00. Two weeks later the faucet was leaking again. It took them another two months to come out and see why. The plumber took the faucet apart again and replaced the same part he fixed before and determined I should just order a new faucet. It can't be fixed. He charged me another 80 bucks. They have no warranty I guess. So I'm out over 800 bucks and all that was fixed is a leaky toilet. They are dishonest and all about money and could care less about getting the job done right. I will be using a different plumber for my new faucet install. "

FAQs for gas piping projects in Munster, IN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
