"I have had a service contract with McCrea Heating and Cooling since I purchased my condo unit new 7 1/2 years ago which included 2 maintenance visits a year. My current contract expired yesterday so I called to renew my service contract and upgrade from "Bronze" to "Silver." The representative took my charge card information over the phone. I asked if the contract was in effect as of today. They said "yes." Then I tried to schedule a service call (my unit was serviced a little over a month ago and now the condo wasn't cooling.) I was told then that the Silver Contract would NOT be in effect after all. The difference in price between Bronze and Silver is the cost of a diagnostic visit so they were getting the money one way or another. My long time history with the company did not persuade them to honor the contract I had just paid for. They wanted to charge me $98 to have my problem diagnosed under the Bronze contract that I pointed out was already expired. I was told the representative "misspoke" and should have told me they would have to send out someone to determine whether the furnace they have been maintaining for the past 7 years (with the most recent service call just a month ago) would "qualify" for the Silver plan. So, I cancelled the order for the Silver Plan. I called another company who came out for $30 and determined the problem was a clogged condensation drain. This drain was supposed to have been "blown out" when the regular maintenance was done by McCrea just a month ago, but obviously was not. The water was backed up in the drain pipe and filled the pan under the furnace/AC unit which turned off the AC. Now that everything is working again, I am seeking a different maintenance service plan provider. McCrea has competitive service contract prices, but if they have no customer loyalty, and the maintenance work is not done properly, maybe it's a question of "you get what you pay for.""

"Well temperatures outside were hitting the high 90's for several consecutive days so we were desperate. Unfortunately, every HVAC provider that we called were booked solid for the next week. I was in a hair salon and after being there about an hour I noticed a man in uniform come in the salon the name on his shirt said All City HVAC. She introduced me to Mr. Smith, he pulled out his phone where he had his schedule and said he could meet my husband at the house in an hour because he was just doing service check ups. Mr Smith retired 6:30am the next morning and worked with his assistant for hours in the attic where temperatures were over 100 degrees. By mid afternoon they were cleaning up and my house was feeling like we were in Alaska! Great experience. I would and have recommended Allcity HVAC services"
