"There was very little work to do. They came out on time and I was happy for the professionalism, but there was nothing to do because it's a brand new system. The service is free for a year. I could have had them come out in April to check the air conditioning system, but since they just installed the unit in April, I didn't bother, but it would have been free. This fall, when I called him to check the furnace, he thought he was coming out to check the air conditioning, I said, "no, you're here to check the furnace because I'm going to be using the heat this fall". "I can’t say enough great things about Casteel for all the services they provide. But, for this post specifically, we moved into a home just over 1 year ago knowing the system was very old (1994) and could have issues sooner rather than later. A recent service visit from Casteel validated that not only was our system old, but operating inefficiently and under capacity. We had a Steve follow up with us later that same day who analyzed our current system and calculated that it was under capacity. The home, when built, did not have a finished basement which, when added later prior to our occupancy, simply tapped into the existing system resulting in doubling the space the initial system was not rated to handle. Steve designed for us a new system sufficient for our needs and at 3 price-point options. We elected to do a complete replacement. Though that option was the most expensive, it was attractively discounted. We still got a great deal, a 10-year warranty, plus 2 years semi-annual service check ups. The installation team arrived on time as scheduled led by Kyle and another Steve, plus several other team members to install our new HVAC and heat pump. They dropped tarps within the interior of our home from used exterior doors to the basement and attic work locations. They did an excellent and professional installation to include upgrading to current code, Re-plumbing all lines, installing new thermostats, and adding a return air vent in the basement which had not been done when the basement was finished. They worked long and hard all day long, installation is clean, neat, and professional in appearance, and cleaned up afterwards exceptionally. I commend each and every one of them for a job well done! I highly recommend Casteel for all your heating, air, plumbing, electrical needs. I have used Casteel for all of these services because each and every time Casteel is punctual, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, neat, and highly-competent providing their services. "Fil and his team are outstanding. They are the consummate professionals. We had the old tile removed, wall board replaced, and new backsplash installed. The company removing and replacing the counter top had multiple problems that caused multiple scheduling changes over a 2 week period. Fil was great about working with us to minimize downtime. The job they did was perfect. They show up when they promise, finish when they promise, and charge a fair price. They are true gentleman and look after your home as if it was their own. "I took quotes from 5 reputable companies that are recommended by media advertising and home advisor services. The design sales reps were all asked to quote for 16 SEER staying within a comparable equipment quote. Unfortunately, I had quotes from $18,000 to $10,000 with Anytime coming in at just over $9700.00 for the same system targets. Yes some of them put 'add ons' as part of the package trying to discreetly up sell me. What convinced me was not so much the price as to how the system was calibrated for our home usage as I did not want to under buy nor over buy. Anytime pointed out that my home duct work and configuration would not allow certain units I desired. They recommended and explained what would achieve my goal of comfort and energy efficiency. The professionalism exemplified by how they approach the design really gave me a lot of comfort that what was being placed in my home was correct. When we had a question and called after 6pm the reps answered my call which told me that they are responsive to their customers needs which I leaned throughout the process of installing with follow up calls and emails answering questions that arose..
The installers did a terrific job enabling us to bring to code the linesets for the systems. The job took a day for each floor's system to be installed. The installers were courteous, careful, through and did not take shorts. In fact they tried to improve the install at every step. The installers worked from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm each day hardly taking breaks only to make sure that the work done was operating properly and we were satisfied. I cannot say enough how nice, interested, knowledgeable, and professional the installers were. They did the job as if it was for their home.
