"We had a gas fireplace insert installed. We are extremely please with the customer service and work done. We needed extra mason work done and they were able to contact a person to help with that. All the work was done as scheduled, no surprises and extremely clean. I would highly recommend them for this work. The fireplace look absolutely wonderful."

"Car X evaluated the system and determined what was wrong.  I had to take the truck back a 2nd time to completely resolve the issue.  Scott the and the guys are very responsive, professional and provide excellent service for a reasonable cost.  I have taken both of my vehicles to Car X for the last 5 years and will continue to do so going forward. <br />"

"Ed is very easy to work with and a good communicator. I have always been pleased with his work. This guy exemplifies hard work and honesty. I have always felt that I've gotten a fair price for the work he performed. Ed also gave us excellent advice when we needed a new central air unit. On this specific call, he came to check the central air which was not cooling the way it should. He was supposed to look at the unit on a Thursday, and I was surprised when he didn't show up and I hadn't heard from him. When I called to follow up, he explained that he didn't come due to the cold weather which would make it more difficult to check how the a/c was working. He also said that he had called and left a message (Found out that this was on my voice mail, but for some reason, I never got the notification. So the misunderstanding was my fault). Anyway, he came out shortly after this. In fact, he found time to come out despite having a full schedule because we were heading out of town. There had previously been a small a/c leak and the unit only needed some refrigerant added. Everything has been workingnfine since then. He charged only for the refrigerant, which was $31.50 with tax. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in New London, WI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
