"We had an old home that had gotten too small for a growing family. We liked our neighborhood and wanted to remodel/add on. Matt (MTL Contracting) advised that it would be more cost efficient to replace the old house with a new modular home. He helped us from the beginning in planning out the home, letting us look at many Modular home plans from his supplier and from online sources that we found and letting us modify them to suit our needs. Matt delivered everything promised. We ended up with a very nice NEW house at far less cost than it would have been to move into a comparable one close to our neighborhood and without the headaches of updating old construction. At the outset, he said "I want to give you a TURNKEY house. Everything will be ready for you to move in" and that was what happened. Matt did a lot of the finishing work (front porch, garage, interiors etc..) himself in addition to subcontracting. We picked out hardwood flooring and he installed it, he installed the appliances we bought, tiled the bathrooms with our selection of tile etc.. In addition to building the house, he has stood by the construction and has made himself available when things needed attention (routine settling cracks, some siding that blew off in a windstorm etc.) We had a deck on the old house, and he managed to remove it during demolition and re-attach it to the new house. Later, we decided to remove the deck and put in a patio and MTL came in with a great price and put in a very nice Paver Patio. I would recommend MTL Contracting for your construction needs large and small. Great value and workmanship at competitive prices."

"THE CO. REMOVED THE OLD DRIVEWAY ASPHALT, LEVELED THE GROUND, REMOVED OLD DEBRIS, AND REPAVED WITH NEW ASPHALT. THE DRIVEWAY LOOKS GREAT. THEY LEFT THE PLACE VERY CLEAN AND WHILE DOING THE JOB DID NOT INCONVENIENCE ME IN ANY WAY.THE COST WAS APROX $3200
ON THE 2ND CONTRACT, THEY SIDED AND REPLACED THE WINDOWS IN MY OLD BARN, WHICH WAS CONVERTED TO A GARAGE MANY YEARS AGO. THE BARN WAS NEVER SIDED (WAS BUILT IN 1912) .THEY INSTALLED THE SIDING, THE NEW WINDOWS, REPAIRED THE DAMAGED WOOD, CLEANED AND PREPED THE GARAGE, INSTALLED INSULATION, CREATED A SOFFIT (THE BARN HAD NEVER HAD A SOFFIT). REFRAMED AND SHIMMED THE NEW FRAMES AND INSTALLED NEW ALUMINUM TRIM ALL AROUND.MY BARN NOW LOOKS LIKE A COMPLETELY NEW STRUCTURE.
ONCE AGAIN THEY CAME AND DID THE JOB, EFFICIENTLY, CLEANLY, AND DID NOT INCONVENIENCE ME.
I WAS ALSO VERY PLEASED WITH THE COST
MY NEXT BIG JOB WILL BE FINISHING MY BASEMENT NEXT YEAR AND I WILL MAKE SURE TO GIVE THEM A CALL WHEN I AM READY.

"My wife and I DO NOT use anyone who is not on Angie's List so we understand the importance of having accurate, fair reviews. We found Cary on Angie's List with overall great feedback on jobs he had done so we called him in for an estimate. Despite being very busy, he made the time to come over on a Saturday morning. He had previously dropped by and assessed the damage from the outside but needed to see it from the inside to ensure he could judge it accurately. After 15 minutes, our fears were realized and he said he would need to remove the cedar impression siding and remove the roof and replace it with a different system because the pitch wasn't steep enough. 
Within 48 hours, he provided a quote for his crew to come out and get the work done in a single day which was completely reasonable. He completed the work (guaranteed) as promised and left the site immaculate. He took pictures of the issue, of job progress and of the completed job. He mentioned he went around and filled some other issues he noticed while he was waiting for his crew to wrap up, no charge at all. He then discounted the quoted, agreed price 5% for angie's list deal I wasn't even aware of. Have you ever heard of a contractor accept less than an agreed price? Me neither.
Angie's List is a great resource for people to share experiences. I think the contractors who are honest and reasonable should be applauded too. We have been on the receiving end of some really lousy service so this was a new experience having someone do what they promised to do. Cary and his crew are the best in Monmouth County. We already have him pricing out finishing a storage space and will use him to build our deck in the spring. I cannot recommend Cary enough and you can reach me through Cary if you'd like to see his work firsthand.

"I found Nilsen Building and Remodeling from Angie's List and at the time, they had a 'Painter for a Day' promotion going on that I couldn't refuse - I thought, it's so affordable what could possibly go wrong? I reached out to David to coordinate right away so to take advantage of my voucher, and he was in touch shortly after and we were able to lock in a start date two weeks later. I was concerned about scheduling without having him stop by and seeing the space first, but he assured me there wouldn't be any concerns and that the job could be done within the 8 hours. To sum up my experience in one sentence - I am so happy with my finished, painted room and I will certainly be using David and his team for more projects around my house and would highly recommend him to anyone looking in the North Jersey area. The job included painting a lot of trim work and 2 accent walls. Once you get past the bright purple color I chose, you can see their high-quality work and attention-to-detail all throughout. His team was always there when they were expected and always courteous and respectful of our home. Although we had some bumps along the way which had nothing to do with the company they always took it all in stride and were readily available in person or by phone with suggestions and solutions.
