"I phoned them approx. April 17, and they came out the next morning. I explained in advance that I definitely wanted the outside faucet fixed, and depending on the cost, that I needed kitchen sink leaks fixed.  I explained in advance I had a crawlspace to access trouble spot. After investigating the leaks, Neil told me the cost for outside faucet replacement and pipe repairs and I agreed. <br /> Then I asked him to look at the leaks in and around the kitchen sink. He did and gave the cost I agreed. He and helper finished the work on both items in good time, approx. 1.5 hours.  However, the next morning I thought I heard water leaking in the crawlspace. I phoned Neil around 8:15 am and he showed up at my house at 8:30 AM!  He found a leak in a different spot than the original leak and repaired it too.  My totals cost for all repairs was $164.   I would not hesitate to uses his services in the future. He guarantees his work and is quick and efficient."

"The company representative made a careful inspection of the house and its heating/cooling system, followed by detailed recommendations for two alternative systems designed to improve efficiency and reduce the energy footprint.  We chose to keep our present gas heater in place, and replace the air conditioner with a heat pump (rather than a new air conditoner).  The bid was slightly lower than the one competitive bid we obtained.  In addition, the company we selected happens to be the one dealer in the area that handles the equipment with the best repair record as indicated by Consumer Reports.  When we accepted the bid the company representative immediately scheduled a suitable installation date, and adhered strictly to schedule.  The equipment works perfectly. <br />"

"Jeff Hoffman arrive exactly when he said he would. Rita who answers the phone there made special arrangements to work with my schedule. While he was here to quote running the gas line , I asked about how to shut off the water to the house. Single mom here and thought I should know that. He tracked down the shut off and showed me how to access it if needed. I then asked about getting a quote on sump pump and a garbage disposal. He looked at the disposal said he thought it was just stuck. Got a tool from his truck and fixed it in less than five minutes at no charge! He could have easily sold me a new one. The people at Hoffman Plumbing are truly good people doing honest work. I would not hesitate to recommend them. <br />"

"They do well.  I would give someone the phone number to call if they asked me about them.  Yes, they left the area very clean.  They did a good job.  I've been with them for several years.  I keep going back to them because they're familiar, I guess."

"<p>Two extremely professional and friendly guys showed up at my house - On Time.  They listen to what my problem was and went right to work!  They had to cut an access hole in my master bath closet to reach/replace the burst pipe as they could not reach it from my crawl space.  The guys kept me informed through the entire process, they were in and out in just over an hour.  Lohmeyer Plumbing may be a little more expensive but they are WELL WORTH IT!  It's a crap shoot these days to find a professional and friendly service provided. As this is my second experience with these folks, I'd say its a Promise with these folks!!!</p> <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Norman, IN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
