"Perfect! The removal of the pre-existing concrete patio took and entire day of hard work with some heavy equipment and lots of muscle. Once the old concrete was removed and disposed of, the site was excavated to prepare the underlying base of crushed stone and sand for the pavers. The paver installation went well, but required last minute cutting into small pieces to fit some difficult spots (around the cellar hatchway). Everything looks beautiful compared to the older poured concrete. We're totally satisfied with the project and the team who did the work!"

They created a new reinforced base with crushed stone and reassembled the slabs to a new level surface. They patched two concrete retaining walls. Then the attacked the 37-year dirt build-up on our large concrete patio. They cut and filled a few large cracks and pressure washed the surface so that it now looks like a completely different patio. "I recently hired Scott Richard to install a paver patio at my home as well as repair some crumbling mortar on my garage foundation. Scott and crew showed up on time every day and worked around some pretty crazy weather we experienced to get the job done on time. The crew was friendly and knowledgable and all of the work was superb.They also helped correct a problem with the previous patio being pitched towards my house which had caused some flooding in the past. We received 6 inches of rain during and just after completion and it was awesome to see the water stream off right where they said it would. We're now considering a walk way to complement the patio.

"We had some difficulty making initial connection to view the proposed job.  He was very apologetic when he wasn't able to meet at the time we'd originally scheduled for the 2nd time.  We decided to try one more time and it was worth it.  Once we met and agreed on the scope of the work - Dave worked evenings to fit us in around larger jobs and his already full schedule.  He does beautiful work - clean and pleasing to look at.  He undid the sloppy, smeared on globs of concrete that someone had done years ago.   And he did more than we'd asked or expected, making sure that the whole basement was in good shape.  He has done masonry his whole life.  He takes great, well-deserved pride in being a great craftsman.  We will definitely work with him again!
