"NYP plumbing ????? NYP was hired by my Contractor John Barrett to do all new plumbing in my bathroom renovation as well as install shower fixtures, sink fixtures, and toilet. • Nick and his helper installed a toilet with a large scratch on it and did not point it out to me. Ok they might have missed it or they may have scratched it as it was a brand new toilet they they took out of the box and carried inside and upstairs from the garage. Either way it needed to be replaced. • NYP plumbing installed several fixtures is my shower that had holes cut in the tile too large for the fixtures to cover them. This is an error on the tile installer however this should have been pointed out to me by Nick. Instead NYP passed it off as finished work and left without bringing it to my attention and told me everything was done. Issue not fully resolved by NYP as they only came back to uninstall the fixtures. • my contractor contacted NYP and asked them to return to take out the toilet and uninstall the shower fixtures. They returned the next day took out the toilet, installed the replacement, and uninstalled all of the shower fixtures. • after “completing” the job We discovered shower head pipe was extremely wobbly so the work they did behind the tile was not completed properly and the contractor had to cut a hole in the wall behind the shower to fix the issue. My contractor fixed this issue on a Saturday as we discovered this mistake late and at this point I did not want them returning to do anything. • I don’t have cold water in my shower now due to improper installation of thermostatic temperature valve. Issue not resolved by NYP. Nick was adamant that everything was installed correctly, even though it clearly was not, and anything not working is the manufacturer’s fault Besides everything that they did improperly and without integrity, Nick and his helper showed up at my home, did not knock or ring and walked in without masks on. After realizing they were in my home and seeing them in the bathroom working without any face covering I had to ask them to put masks on to which Nick stated he would not wear one. So after insisting they wear a mask or leave they went to their truck put on masks and continued work. Also, Either Nick or his helper called me a “Wash” on day 1 after I checked in with them to see how work was going. This is a derogatory name given to new people who move here by small-minded people who grew up here and apparently don’t like outsiders. Anyway either Nick or his helper felt the need to call me a childish negative name. LMAO I will not have NYP in my home again and neither should you! ?????"

"As a 14 year customer, it is sad to see HPHC in operation. Perhaps it was an ownership change but our first problem was when we returned to our home on a December Sunday: no heat and it was 50 and falling. We called the advertised "24/7 Emergency" service. And called and called and called. No one showed up for 24 hours. We are loyal customers, so we excused that. Now, for two weeks (and two heat spells, the third starting) we have been without a/c. A service tech came out, confirmed that our first floor unit had to be replaced and told us he would have his office give us a quote on price and installation time. We never got a call and when we did, we were treated as if we "misunderstood" the tech and had just sat in the heat but we DID get a new appointment for another person to show up to give us an estimate and, no, we could not be told or even given an estimate for installation. Asking for a supervisor, a Mr. Willey, we were told he was "unavailable" but would call us right back. That was 4 days ago. We are done with this outfit. If you need a dependable and polite company to take care of your heat, a/c or generator needs, you should check out others. HPHC is, to put it mildly, overstetched and overcommitted."

"I'll keep it simple, do yourself a favor and do not do business with this contractor. Do your research go on Yelp and Look at all the 1 star reviews it's not a coincidence. The owner of this business is probably one of the rudest disrespectful people I have ever had to do business with. They are over priced for the work/service that they provide. You can certainly do better somewhere else, for that matter, anywhere else"

"Excellent! Everyone was professional, hard-working, knowledgeable, and great to work with. They installed a new energy efficient system that is working perfectly. The old system and water heater were taken away without a trace left behind. They noticed my dryer vent needed to be fixed and they took care of that as well. They later came back to repair a shower valve. It was all very quick and efficient. I would definitely hire them again."

"On 4/2/24 our sump pump stopped working. Mr Maurer came right out and Jerry rigged a short pipe until he could come back to replace and bury a new pipe. He Never came out to replace and bury the new pipe!!!!! At least not until I called him 14 times & emailed him. From April 9 - Oct. 16, 2024. Now I’m not sure of the April date because he has the finish date as 6/3/24. Which is inaccurate. He never covered the pipe with backfill. In fact my 96 year old mother and I had to do it. Because he insisted what he did was correct and that the pipe as it was - literally above ground - wouldn’t freeze over the winter. I could tell he was disgusted with me because I questioned him. He said he would come back with dirt to cover the pipe but he never did. I would NOT recommend him to anyone."

FAQs for gas piping projects in North Falmouth, MA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
