"I called Spencer Air Conditioning & Heating Saturday morning. The alternate heat was not kicking in so the house was not staying warm. David called me later in the day to let me know when he would be arriving at the house. Since I have a maintenance plan with Spencer, the visit was 89.00 instead of 150.00. He was very thorough in testing all the components to make sure that they each worked when manually turned on. I have a Nest thermostat. After he had determined that the thermostat was not sending a single to turn on the alternate heat. Together we went through the programming and realized that it had been set up incorrectly. It had been set up for a dual heat which is why it was not sending a signal to the alternate heat source. Once we reprogrammed the Nest thermostat for a single heat source, I was turned the heat up way up and he was in the ceiling and confirmed that each time I did that, the heat bars would kick on and start heating the air. He was patient and thorough in testing each component to make sure each one was working."
