"I am a long time customer who pays Rodenheiser a monthly fee which covers annual maintenance and some priority in the event of any necessary repair required. I had an a/c compressor failure. I had to wait 3 weeks to have a technician visit and tell me that the unit’s motor was dead and the compressor needed replacement. Then, after ordering a new compressor, which was available within 3-4 days I was scheduled for an installation 3+ weeks later. I had to complain strenuously and threaten to cancel the order to get the installation moved forward to within 10 days. Apparently being a long time customer and paying a monthly fee for better service means absolutely nothing. The installation went well. Not sure about future relationship."

"From the first contact to the end of the process, our experience with Nicholson was as positive as it was when we installed our heating system 7 years ago. Four years ago, we contracted another company to install central A/C in our home. We came to find out that all of the joints for our coolant line were soldered rather than brazed. After only four years, a number of them failed. The initial installation also had the system improperly aligned, meaning the evaporator coil was partially submerged and causing its premature failure through pinhole leaks. Fortunately the coil was still under a 5-year warranty. Nicholson came and replaced all soldered joints with new brazed joints; replaced and aligned the system, and ensured all was running smoothly. We had one subsequent issue with the drain pan, in that a rusted and difficult-to-get-to support bracket failed after their leaving, causing water to leak from a light fixture. Nicholson returned that day, repaired the failed bracket, and checked the float switch on the secondary basin underneath the system to find that it was never wired to the unit, causing the pan to overflow and leak into our ceiling. They replaced the failed bracket, wired the float switch into the unit, and assured us that the system was ready to go. Ion was professional and courteous throughout. We believe that one gets what one pays for; though Nicholson is on the more expensive side of things, they do solid work, and will be our go-to for both our heating and AC needs in the future."
