"Everything went as scheduled from the signing of the contract last September to the installation this spring. Katlyn is very professional and dedicated to getting every detail done perfectly. The gentlemen who did the installation were very knowledgeable and neat in getting the grass returned to its normal condition. Thanks for a job well done. I would definitely recommend Auto Rain to anyone interested in getting a sprinkler system installed."

"Wanted a sprinkler system for the lawn and flower beds. Had 4 estimates, WaterWorks came in the middle as far as pricing but offered a better warranty and I liked the sales guy. Install happened in 3 and a half hours. I was surprised by the efficiency of the crew. Lawn barely looks touched. I'm very happy and am recommending them to my neighbors."

"She was thorough, answered all our questions, offered workable solutions, and brought up some points we hadn't considered. She also offered advice on our trees, even though they aren't in her scope of work."

"They have been fine. I saw a better result of my lawn as far as getting rid of weeds. I do not know if they are doing a bad job at that, but I just wish it was better. I pay $500 for the whole year of service to come out a couple of months. The pricing is fine."

"On a Saturday morning, we found a leak at the shut off in the basement . We called our previous plumber, whose ad mentions 24 hour service, and did not receive a call back until Monday morning.  Later Saturday morning we called Kerrigan.  They called back within the hour.  Peter convinced us that we didn't need emergency service and that it would be cheaper to wait until Monday.  Jeff came to us on Monday.  He was very professional and also very careful with the 100 year old valve.  He explained everything he was doing as he did it.   We were very relieved that the fix didn't require the city to shut off our water supply.  If he had not been able to adjust the valve, that would have been our only option.    I hope we can get Jeff for our future plumbing needs."

"Mark contacted me immediately, came out quickly for an estimate, and scheduled the installation as soon as I got all the permits and finished a job they were working on.  They arrived at 6:30 AM to start work on a Wednesday, worked until 6:00 PM that day, and completed the entire job by noon on Thursday.  I was so impressed with the work, the quality, the clean up, and every part of the process.  Mark is available by phone or text, and responds immediately when contacted.  I would very highly recommend them for any type of landscaping project.  Thank you Mark...you were amazing!!! <br />"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Norwood-park, IL

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
