"The original estimate was only for the courtyard and I accepted and the job started on time with a full crew of workmen. Much heavy equipment was brought in and the old wall was removed. Jackhammers removed large underground rock formations, underground drains were laid and the new foundation was poured. The underground drains were about 200' in length. The enclosed courtyard had two 5 foot high side walls and a 6 and 1/2 foot high rear wall. The walls were completed without incident and that job was completed to my satisfaction. Total wall length was about 127'. This was very difficult work as my courtyard sits on enormous rock formations. <br /> The estimate for landscaping was separate from the walls and I thought it was too high. We negotiated and came up with a solution that worked for me and this contract was completed around November 9, 2012. This contract included shrubbery, trees, river rock, large stepping stones and a cedar planter. <br /> After all work was completed, cleanup was extensive and the yard re-seeded and left in a better condition than when they started. <br /> All work was completed in a professional and timely fashion; the workmen and the company owner, Lee Bowman, were very responsive and easily accommodated changes on the fly. The owner handled all the various subs including brick layers, concrete pors, landscaping and heavy equipment. They were very easy to work with and it was obvious that they were intent on making me a happy customer. They succeeded and I would use them again in an instant. <br />"

"Jon was absolutely wonderful! He listened to what we needed and provided a plan with a quote within days. Even with this being right in the middle of their busy season, he came out and did the work the following week. My lawn looks so great! His idea of replanting the large bushes in the back was perfect! We've been trying for 3 years to get this lawn going. I'm so glad Superior Lawn & Landscaping responded to my request. I highly recommend giving them a call for any project."

"We and everyone in our neighborhood were impressed with the speed and efficiency at which they worked: the entire building process took about two-and-a-half months from beginning to end. When horrible weather canceled some of the workdays, they came around on weekends or holidays to make up for lost time: their idea, not ours. My mom moved into the suite a little over five months ago; she's been happy there, and there's been no issues with any of the work done. <br /> I should briefly note that Brickwood Builders had previously done bathroom remodeling in our prior house, in order to prepare it for sale; in two weeks they did about $3500 worth of work that enabled us to raise our asking price at least $5000. And they've been responsive, when schedule permits, for small jobs. This is why we trusted them to organize something so large. We're glad we did. <br />"

"<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <strong> </strong> <p>Ryan & his one man crew finished the project including clean-up in 1 1/2 days. My husband can now mow the whole ditch line with his tractor. Before the pipe, clean-out basin and added soil, he would have to use the weed eater on a steep slope. When the traffic blew the straw he returned to lay more straw and net to keep it in place. We now have grass in the open ditch & the grass on the gradual slope is slowly growing in.</p> <p>When asked about a depression in the lawn, Ryan brought in fill soil, seeded it and covered it  with straw. There was no extra charge for it.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /><br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p>"

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Oak Ridge, NC

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
