"I recently had flooring installed in my home. There were some positive aspects of the experience. The flooring itself looks good and was installed correctly throughout the majority of the space. The contractor was professional during the installation, showed up on time, and completed the job within a reasonable timeframe. However, there were some significant concerns. I was originally given a written invoice with an agreed-upon price. After the job was completed, I was told the total would be approximately $500 more than what was originally quoted. After I brought forward the original invoice, I was not required to pay the additional amount, but this was stressful and concerning. Additionally, the job was not fully completed. A full piece of wood was left off around my center island. The contractor stated he would return to fix it, but he never responded to my follow-up requests and the issue remains unresolved. "

"If changing anything in your order, make sure your sales rep has updated the order before delivery. My sales rep was slow to respond (days rather than hours). When my carpet arrived, it was the color from the original order, not the change that was made 2 weeks prior. I had talked to company representatives several times trying to confirm the color change and it still arrived the wrong color. They were good about working with me and getting the install for the next day. Also, the trim and floor repair work that my sales rep said was noted and quoted in or order was not on the installers order, so I had to work with the Empire rep to get that resolved quickly. Overall, I was pleased with the product and customer service."

"Cransten sent out Steve the handyman who installed a huge amount of flooring. Not only was I thrilled with the quick installation but also the price, which was $2 sq/ft for good quality snap/click type flooring on a very clean and level floor. (I provided materials.) Steve was on time, professional and resourceful when it came to details like making sure the thresholds were done properly and in making the areas adjacent to a fireplace look good. He took pride in his work and made sure it was done right. Based on this experience I'll definitely be using Cransten again. Scheduling and payment were super easy as well."

It took HD one more extra day to find out right material. But not only did He do everything to make me happy but exceeded my expectation. I will be referring my family and friends.
