"Sarah was very professional and helpful. Dennis went way beyond what was necessary to provide insight and suggestions to us novices. You can tell that service is what is most important to their company and it shows. We never felt pressured or rushed, and appreciated the time spent with us and the follow up."

"We purchased our spa from a local company and have had it for nearly 6 years. Back in 2010, we had a leak in the plumbing near the heater and contacted the and quot;sellingand quot; company about repairs and got nothing but a runaround. After some brief internet research, we found Two Men and a Spa Dolly. We called and they were out the next day to inspect and did the repairs within a week after that (had to order parts). When we had another leak this past summer (201) we contacted them again. They were out the next day and made the repairs on the spot. Extremely easy to deal with, professional and quality service. They took the time, on both occasions, to explain to us what the problem was, why it occurred and what they were doing to fix the problem. Their prices are very reasonable. When we had the first problem with the spa, we got a quote from the and quot;selling dealerand quot; over the phone. The cost to actually repair the problem by Two Men and a Spa Dolly was less than half of the selling dealer's quote. If we have any future need for repairs or service on our spa, we will most certainly call Two Men and a Spa Dolly. I would recommend them to anyone in need of spa repair or service.

"New installation went well. I was a little upset that only 50% was covered being that the unit was 19 years old. I'm sure that parts for something that old would be hard to find. Replacement was recommended."

FAQs for swimming pool covers installation and replacement projects in Oakville, MO

The lifespan of automatic pool covers varies by component. Cover fabrics require replacement every five to six years, costing between $2,000 and $5,000, depending on size and material quality. Mechanical elements like motors function for five to ten years before needing replacement at $450 plus labor. The tracking system and housing unit can last considerably longer with proper care. Scheduling professional maintenance one to three times yearly at $150 to $200 per service helps maximize the operational life of all components.

While automatic covers require a larger initial investment, they provide significant advantages that often justify the premium. The convenience of one-touch operation encourages more consistent use, maximizing energy savings that can reach 50% to 70% on heating costs. The enhanced safety features, reduced chemical requirements, and decreased water evaporation deliver ongoing operational savings. These benefits outweigh the higher upfront expense for households that use their pools frequently.

Most existing pools can be retrofitted with automatic covers, though rectangular shapes accommodate them more easily than custom configurations. On-deck track systems offer the most straightforward installation for existing pools since they require minimal structural modifications. Recessed track systems necessitate more substantial deck alterations but provide a cleaner appearance. A professional assessment is essential to determine which system best suits your pool's specific layout and structural characteristics.

Proper maintenance includes promptly removing standing water and debris to prevent excessive weight on the cover. Use manufacturer-approved cleaning solutions for periodic washing according to recommended guidelines. Keep tracks clear of dirt and obstructions that could cause alignment problems or motor strain. Professional servicing one to three times yearly allows technicians to inspect mechanical components, lubricate moving parts, and make necessary adjustments before minor issues develop into major problems requiring costly repairs.
