"We were given a very reasonable estimate of cost. The plumber arrived on time and did a very good job. Had all the right tools parts. Replaced hot & cold washing machine faucets and repaired leak in drain pipe beneath a bathtub which was tight overhead work in the joists of basement. Did a nice job and cleaned up afterwords. No suprises"

"Great! KC Metro Plumbing arrived on time, provided 2 options (repair vs replace the leaking faucet). The repair option was less expensive, though not guaranteed to resolve the issue - as a few different things could be the root cause and it may need replaced entirely. I chose to repair it, and thankfully it resolved the issue at very little cost. Grateful to KC Metro Plumbing for following up with us on our inquiry so quickly, and coming out the next day (before freezing temp's outside were forecasted to arrive just 2 days later). We would absolutely hire KC Metro Plumbing again. THANKS!!"

"I had my hot water tank replaced by Daniel and couldn’t be more impressed. From start to finish, he was professional, punctual, and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained everything in a way that made sense, worked efficiently, and made sure everything was cleaned up afterward. It’s hard to find honest and skilled tradesmen these days, but Daniel is definitely one of them. Highly recommend him for any plumbing or water heater work top-notch service all around!"

"Light fixture was repaired and works great. Estimate for moving outlets was given along with information on how work would be performed. Brent was very thorough in assessing the situation and very pleasant to interact with."

"Zach from Mac Wilson plumbing came to my house to review estimates I had received from a couple of the "big" plumbing companies relating to my main sewer line. The "big" companies had claimed the entire sewer line was shot and needed to be replaced at costs ranging from $12K to $15K. Zach reviewed everything and told me my sewer line only needed regular maintenance and cleaning at a cost of a couple hundred dollars a year and the full replacement was not needed at all. He could easily have convinced me to spend several thousand on a replacement with him, but his honesty and integrity shone through. Mac Wilson just earned a customer for any plumbing needs I have in the future. Fantastic."

"Simon came out and spent a lot of time looking at the plumbing in our 40 year old house. He found the sources of the problem and said repairs would need to be performed and asked I wanted to have someone come out and provide and estimate. Jay came out the next morning and looked at the situation described by Simon and gave us a couple of options to solve the problem. He saved us a lot of money that another plumber might have charged us to do the job differently. Both men were very professional, polite and showed up on time. In addition they both wore masks while in our house."

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Olathe, KS

A minor, easily accessible leak can be resolved in about three hours, while a large or hard-to-reach leak may take up to three days. If flooring or cabinets need to be built back, the timeline can run several weeks to cover material deliveries and installation. Every job begins with detection, proceeds to repair, and concludes with restoring your foundation’s strength.

Slab leaks are most common in areas where the ground is in motion, such as those prone to earthquakes or highly expansive soils. In places like California, constant shifting puts stress on foundations and pipes. Stay ahead of trouble by monitoring your water bill, inspecting visible slab edges, and scheduling routine inspections to catch leaks early and maintain your home's safety.

Keep an eye out for damp spots, rising water bills, the sound of running water when taps are off, or staining and sagging along the foundation. Check exposed slab edges during routine walk-arounds and note any uptick in indoor humidity or pest traffic. The moment something looks off, call a pro—fast action protects your slab and wallet.

Most policies cover slab-leak repairs tied to a covered event, such as earthquakes, severe storms, or a fallen tree. They often won’t cover gradual issues, such as root intrusion or corrosion-related pinhole leaks. Every policy is different, so be sure to contact your carrier for the fine print before any problems arise.
