"Beautiful finished back yard, just as planned. George was a pleasure to work with. He and those working with him were knowledgeable and experienced. He created a good design drawing, and detailed itemized cost estimate so it was clear what the scope included. He was patient with us as we modified the design and added design elements over several months. Communication was excellent so that there were no surprises. Final cost and end product were exactly as quoted. They obtained building permits as needed, He kept us informed of any delays in the construction dates, due to weather & delays in other projects. Plants were healthy and all are thriving except a few small ones that didn't survive the winter. We got exactly what we wanted at a competitive price and without any hassle. "This was our first time attempting a major home construction project. This project was also the reason I became an Angie's List member to begin with. Mr. Crawford responded promptly to give us an estimate for the work we wanted done. We felt comfortable with Mark right away. As the job progressed we began to regard Mark as not just a good contractor but a good person as well. He was honest with us about the work that needed to be done and suggested a few additional items we didn't think about; to add to the overall contemporary look we wanted. Even our dogs liked him! They greeted him every morning like he was family. He suggested a slight floor plan change to open up the kitchen and relocate the dishwasher. It was a great idea but left us with gaps in the floor tile. We like our floor tile but it is no longer available. Together with a few tiles I had saved and one he removed from our floor, he created an area in the center of the kitchen to install a tile mosaic. He created a great mosaic with the materials we purchased. We also wanted to remove the tray ceiling in the dining area because it seemed to make the area off center with the dining table placed in the bay window area where we preferred. After discussing it with Mark we decided it was the chandelier that was making the area off balance. By installing matching LED disk lights in the kitchen and dining area, it pulled the two areas together and made the whole design more contemporary. This saved us time and money over the additional drywall work required to change the ceiling. We were a little nervous at the beginning of this project but he was reassuring and confident all the way through.
