"Jordan & Tyrek were our installers. They did a great job. They were kind, courteous and efficient. I felt bad for them that install information wasn’t communicated that it was a basement shower install. Despite not having all our order details, like a top (he did pick one up ) and glass shower doors, (Tyrek left to go pick them up). They powered through. I’m giving Jacuzzi a 4 instead of a 5 because I felt this was the sales lady fault in poor communication. Also, while meeting with the sales lady, I picked out my color choice on the wall panels. I asked her, “Are the shower panels thicker than these thin color samples?”She responded with, “Oh yes, much thicker, these are only used to decide color.” Well, they are not!!!! The panels are thin acrylic, that billowed and flexed as they were carried it. That worried me about the quality & durability. I just hated being lied to. Now, the hardware is nice. Heavy, thick & sturdy. Nice finish. I chose brushed Nickel. Jordan & Tyrek 5 stars!"

"Bath Fitter did an amazing job upgrading our shower. We had tile, but we were having so many problems with cracks in the tile and the grout cracking and causing leaks that we were recaulking every 6 months, to the point the shower became unusable. Bath Fitter gave us a competitive quote. The install took a full day. The shower is a larger custom size but they handled it like pros. They knocked out all the tile and green board down to the studs, took out the original flooring, reworked the plumbing, then went to work installing everything. They got done late in the evening but the shower looked amazing. We had to wait a few days for the caulk to cure, and we waited a full week just to make sure it was fully set, but we loved it right away. We chose the Delta 2 in 1 Hydrorain shower head and instantly loved it. The best part? Our shower no longer leaks! Very happy with Bath Fitter’s work."

"Sam did a major overhaul on an outbuilding at our new shop in Union, MO to turn it into and office. New roof, flooring, repaired lots of water damage, paint, and cleanup. The work was done in a timely manner. Pricing was reasonable. They stayed within budget and let me add on a couple things. 😁"

"Would definitely recommend Midtown Home Improvements! They were very professional, efficient, and had great communication. Being honest, my husband is not one to spend money. I'm the fun one in our relationship, lol. He was a little hesitant, but after the finished product, he absolutely loves our new deck! He even complemented the quality while talking to a friend. If you can win my husband over, you're excellent at what you do♥️ Thanks again! We love it! "

"To be truthful i was very skeptical hiring anyone to put on a new deck because of all the horror stories you hear of contractors taking your deposit and never returning to finish the job. BUTâ ¦ meeting with Jacob Quick made it all very easy. I met with Jacob many times because of my apprehension and having issues with making decisions. After signing a contract, Jacob kept in contact with me on starting date, permit issues, when materials would be delivered, and if there was inclement weather conditions that they could not work that day. From the start of teardown to the finished project, they were there every day at 7:30, making sure that time was ok with me. They had a crew of 4-5 people working all day. When an issue came up, they were up front and we discussed it. I felt very relieved that all the guys were very knowledgeable and experienced. I am picky when it comes to details and the entire crew were all very concerned about the littlest details. Brian was also great at answering my questions as the deck was being built. They wanted me to be highly satisfied and i surely was. Not only did they do an outstanding job building the sturdiest deck around but when they left my house, you couldn't even tell they were thereâ ¦ my yard was clean. Soâ ¦ yes i would hire them again. They made the entire experience easy peasy for me. Also kudos to the other guys on the team who also worked their butts off in the 100 degree weather. Put your mind at ease and hire Jacob Quick with Master Remodeler. You can come by and check out my deck!!"

"They were rude and disorganized, they sent a text and email about 10am appointment, then when I called to verify, they said it was noon, and one of the people hung up on me her name is melissa she said good luck with that and hanged up on me. a person Dion was very rude and this is terrible company , I would never work with them .we were having a bad phone reception and I asked his name a few times and he said well I've just told you three times what my name is . that's very rude. angies list gave me a good recommendations, A washing machine repairman and that went very well, when we had another worker over here and they took customer complaint very professionally and helpful, And I would use Angies List again."

FAQs for shower installation and replacement projects in Pacific, MO

Replacing your tub with a shower can modernize your bathroom and improve accessibility, often providing a high return on investment. However, if it's the only bathtub in your home, removing it may decrease resale value, as many buyers look for at least one bathtub. Consider your long-term plans and consult a real estate professional if resale value is a concern.

While showers cost slightly more to install than tubs, the overall expense depends on various factors such as materials, size, and features. A tub installation costs $2,400 to $8,800 on average, whereas showers average $2,000 to $9,400. Custom designs, luxury fixtures, or extensive plumbing work can increase costs for both options. It's important to assess your specific needs and budget when deciding between installing a shower or a tub.

Converting a tub to a shower generally takes between one and three days. The timeline depends on the complexity of the project, materials chosen, and whether plumbing modifications are necessary. Installing a standard prefabricated shower can be completed quickly, while custom tile work or extensive plumbing changes may extend the project's duration. Planning accordingly can help minimize disruptions during the conversion.

Converting a tub to a shower offers several benefits, including saving space and making your bathroom feel more open and modern. Showers improve accessibility, especially for those with mobility challenges, by eliminating the need to step over a high tub wall. Additionally, updating to a stylish shower can enhance your bathroom's aesthetic appeal and may increase your home's resale value if another tub is available elsewhere in the house.

Choosing between a shower stall and a custom shower depends on your budget and preferences. Prefabricated stalls are less expensive and faster to install but offer limited styles. Custom showers allow personalization of size, materials, and features but cost more and require professional installation. Evaluate your needs and budget to select the best option for your space.

If you’re converting a tub to a shower, you may want to consider remodeling your whole bathroom. The ROI on bathroom remodels is high (over 70%), so you can enjoy an upgraded bathroom while you live in your home and get your money back if you decide to sell later. The average cost to remodel a bathroom is around $6,600 to $16,600, so factor in this price range when you’re budgeting for your project.

Converting a tub to a shower alone isn't easy to DIY, so look for a bathroom remodeler near you if you decide to take on a larger bathroom remodel to ensure it's done correctly.
