"I have used this handyman for a variety of tasks around my home and always find him to be attentive to my needs and knowledgeable about general household repairs and services. One thing I really like is his and quot;can doand quot; attitude. He has so far not told me anything I needed done was either beneath him or too much for him. Sometimes that can be a red flag, but in the case of The Knowledgeable Handyman, my experience has been he really does have a great deal of knowledge about household services. <br />"

"Called Mike and arranged for him to come to my home to review various repairs that I needed. Was prompt in his arrival and we discussed the items on my list. He gave me a verbal price and wrote that amount on the back of his business card. He did not itemize the different items but I had a prior contractor give me a quote on a couple of these same items and the total amounts were very similar so in this instance I did not press Mike for an itemization. That same day we made an appointment for him and his assistant to come do the repair work. They showed up on time and went right to work. It took roughly 5 hours to finish everything. As repairs tend to go, once started, there are small adjustments that need to be done such as when working on the threshold and sweep repairs it's discovered that the doors don't shut properly and Mike and Charles took care of those items without any additional cost to me. It's the small things that add up to a favorable review. So pleased with the repairs made. My 20 year old garage/driveway floor is spectacular again. They removed the old worn out felt and replaced with new felt and then a gray caulking of some kind (I forget the name of the product used). No more leaves and insects or weeds can harbor in the expansion joints!! Looks great. The threshold he replaced was installed properly and is very secure now. No more rain seeping through. The small stucco repair to the patio roofline now protects the previously exposed wood. The caveat to the whole job was Mike and Charles making a last minute stop to my parents home just down the street from me to check out a ceiling fan light not working. They determined the problem and gave a solution at no cost to my parents. I will definitely keep Mike in mind for the many other jobs around my house that need tending to. The next one on the list is redoing my fireplace with a wood mantle and surround. Look forward to working with this company again."

"ARAD was great to deal with. Marius modified upper cabinet so new microwave would fit perfectly. Figured a way for me to use existing doors. No new doors needed! Knows what he's doing. Friendly, always responds to texts, brings all woodworking tools (trailer full) to do the job right. Saved me money :)"

"We had electricians run wiring for four ceiling fans, but found later that one didn't work properly; one had to have the light fixture removed; I had bought the wrong length extension for another, and we decided to move one to another room. Guy took me to Home Depot to exchange the defective fan, and buy new extensions. He then re-installed the fans in question, and made all the necessary changes. He then took down the old light fixtures and installed the new ones for us. (They are beautiful!) When we decided to paint, he brought a helper to move a large bookcase/entertainment center, and made sure that nothing was set on my dining room table, which tends to be susceptible to marring and scratching. Guy is a careful worker; always checking to make certain he's providing what I needed and doesn't hesitate to tell me if a job is not within his range of skills. The door we needed rehung had a stripped screw, which he replaced. Guy is friendly and considerate; when I needed to reschedule because of chronic health problems, he was always accommodating."

"<p>We highly recommend MTS painting if you're in the market for some professional interior painting.  We're fixing up a second home to sell and, since we're both semi-retired, thought that we could easily do all the interior painting by ourselves.  Wrong!  For starters, the house is 3000+ sq ft and, once we started, realized that absolutely everything except some ceilings needed to be painted.  In other words, not just walls, but inside closets, all baseboards, door jambs and both sides of all doors.  We persevered for weeks until only six doors, two upstairs bathrooms and three 20' walls remained.  By this point, my semi-retired husband decided to go back to work full time.  That's when I went looking for a professional.  I'm still waiting for two out of the three painting companies I phoned to call me back!  MTS saved the day by coming the same day for the estimate on the bathrooms and the three high walls and scheduling for the following day.  In the time it took me to finish two closet doors, the  two painters had finished their job!  And they cut in (i.e. no tape) perfectly!  Plus, they were courteous, clean, and very reasonably priced.  They really saved me.  I don't think you will be disappointed if you hire MTS for any painting job you may have.</p>"

"Chris Rounds and his crew were absolutely fantastic! Due to my fathers medical issues, I needed to find a local contractor who was willing to work with me (I live out of state in Oregon), and be flexible with scheduling the work to be done. Not only was Chris responsive to our requests, he spent a fair amount of time negotiating with the insurance company to make things happen, which was very much appreciated. Due to my limited availability to travel to AZ, Chris scheduled the work right away, and completed the project earlier than originally quoted to allow me to return home on time. Chris and his crew were prompt, professional, provided high quality work, and maintained excellent lines of communication with my dad and I about the process and progress of the project. He visited the site daily to ensure quality and answer any questions we had, while always being available other hours to respond to requests. Suffice it to say, our expectations were far exceeded! A great experience, and would highly recommend his services."

"We were nervous about finding the right company to paint our home. We had seen so many homes where the paint job just didn't look the best. Fortunately, JT and his crew were painting a home just down the street from us and the results were perfect. We contacted him and within a day or two we had an estimate and a start date for painting our home. From start to finish, we could not be happier with JT and his crew. They did impecable prep work, sprayed, then rolled the paint on all surfaces, and cleaned up to perfection! In addition to painting our home, they also painted the perimeter block walls, the bunco seat in our yard, columns, and a little storage shed so everything would match. They outdid themselves. We absolutely love how our house looks! We would highly recommend this company."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Palo-verde, AZ

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
