"We recently worked with Mike Rosian to build an attached 20x24 cabana in our backyard. We were convinced we wanted to work with Mike after we saw what a beautiful job he did on our neighbors pergola. Not only do we love the final product but from the start Mike was an absolute pleasure to work with and he was a man of his word. His responsiveness, organization, guidance, knowledge, work ethic, and business acumen are only a FEW of the reasons we are so happy. Thanks mike, you turned our backyard into paradise!"

"Chairs were recalled due to a potential hazard. Manufacturer could not produce a satisfactory redesign so they were replaced with a different model. Northwest Metalcraft did everything possible to make sure that we were satisfied. We are going back there to have our three fireplaces re-done."

"First let me say this review is way over due.  We had storm damage to our attached screen room back in June of 2014.  Warner's Decking was one of the company's we found on Angie's List and Chris came out to give us an estimate.  We did not have the work done until September of 2015 though as we were still waiting for the insurance company to approve everything.  That being said, we have an attached gazebo style screen room, approximately 12 x 20,  that had storm damage.  When we called, Chris promptly came out and gave us an estimate of $20,800 for a complete tear down of roof and walls.  He was very professional, explained the whole process and gave us a few suggestions as to the new screening products that were available.  During the process we also decided as long as we were having this taken down to the floor to ask Chris to give us an estimate on having a Trex floor put on.  He told us it would be approximately $10,000 more.  Carlos was the head person he sent out with the crew.  He was very polite, professional and was very patient with all our questions and concerns.  It did take longer than we originally thought it would but it is gorgeous.  About a week after they were done we had an issue with one of the screens and when I called, they were out the next day to fix it.  Also, because of all the rain we had in November/December we had a problem with the door not working properly.  We called and Chris called back and explained that the wood would have to dry out some before they could take care of that.  A couple weeks later Carlos came out and fixed the door and we haven't had any problems with anything since.  I have complete confidence in this company.  Would suggest them highly and would definitely use them again if needed.  They are very busy and there was a window wait time of 10 to 12 weeks but worth the wait. <br />"

"Successfully completed. Homeowners completed demo and removal of existing wood deck. The new deck is the same configuration as the old, except to add a pergola over an outdoor kitchen. Archadeck added outdoor electrical receptacles, a natural gas line, a ceiling fan, and step lighting on four sets of stairs. The outdoor kitchen will be completed later by homeowners."

"Although it was a little tough to connect in the beginning (due to summer rush and holiday weekend), once Maria and I connected, things went very smoothly. <br /> She came to my house, measured and provided a quote in a very timely manner.   <br /> I had to go through my HOA, and she was quite helpful. Providing the drawings and contacting J.U.L.I.E. as required by the HOA (and even coming out a second time to get additional details requested by the HOA). <br /> We had set a tentative installation date (pending HOA approval) and were lucky that the HOA approval was received in the nick of time and the weather held out. <br /> The crew showed up on time and worked tirelessly all day to complete the job. When they ran out of bricks, they went back out to buy more.  Maria  was there the entire time overseeing the work.  At one point we had an issue with the level of the patio where the base of the steps and the side of the house were out of sync (huge downward slope).  She noted the issue and provided a sound recommendation which I approved. At the end of the day, they cleaned up the entire area.  They had carefully removed sod, mulch and some of my plants to install the brick patio and when they were done installing, they replaced the sod, mulch and even replanted my flowers.  Impressive!!  Everything washed up (even the handprints on the staircase) and clean.  They were also very careful with the surrounding area.  I live in a townhouse and they used wheel barrels to bring in all the materials.  They were careful not to destroy any of the common area.  This is a huge plus and greatly appreciated.   <br /> Overall, it was a very positive experience and I highly recommend LDP.  I love my new patio - even though it is small, it adds a whole new room for me outdoors.  Wish I could add pictures, it turned out great!!"

"I called Bret-Mar for an estimate for landscaping around my bare patio. I didn't really know what I wanted to do, I just wanted some privacy screening for the hot tub, and around the patio. Sharon had great suggestions for what to plant and where, showed me lots of photos to help visualize the end result. I asked her for suggestions on the side and front of my house as well. The estimate for the patio was pretty good,so I decided to add on the rose garden on the side, and replace a small evergreen tree in front with a weeping cherry tree. They did everything in one day, despite the heat and a sudden storm! They planted aborvitae in the hot tub area, a beautiful Prariefire crab tree, surrounded by shrubs, put an outcropping stone step off the patio, and moved an ornamental treee and some perennials around the rest of the patio, and mulched everything. It all flows together beautifully! I would recommend Bret-Mar to everyone!"

"The kitchen and bath rooms look amazing! Granite countertops, marble floors, wooden cabinets, crown molding, stainless appliances, garden tub!!! They honestly did more than I'd expected, and the finished product is high quality. I'll definitely be using them in the future, as we have several rental properties that are in need of some additional work."

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Park Forest, IL

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
