"In October 2020, I had a gas leak and I did not even know it until I was doing annual maintenance. The first company that came out made me believe that it could not be repaired and did nothing to mitigate the issue. I thought I would have to figure out where I was going find about $10 to $20 K to replace my boilers. I could not afford that. I called Sync Mechanical for a second look. They gave me an honest diagnosis of the issue and told me where the gas leak was as well. They told me that it is repairable and laid out what my options if I wanted to do repairs or replace it and the cost as well. They talked to me about their financing options at the time. I really had options. This gave me peace of mind because the gas leak was much smaller than I was made to believe before, but Sync Mechanical took the leak seriously. They identified other parts of my boilers that needed to be replaced to avoid pipes bursting such as my expansion tanks and pressure relief valves. I agreed to get the repairs made. Sync Mechanical ordered the parts, kept me updated on the arrival time, and called me when they arrived so I can schedule a time. Sync Mechanical was also honest about their schedule when also responding to emergency calls of no hot water. I appreciated that because I was never left with false expectations. They were able to fit me into schedule even when it was very busy. It felt great going with a local professional company that were honest at every step of the way and large enough to handle multiple jobs in the Hudson Valley. I did not feel overlooked. I have been stood up by contractors twice before so it was really important to me that my time was not being wasted. The repairs were done within a day and all the old materials were disposed of by Sync Mechanical. I also received my invoice in the mail which made it easy for doing my taxes. Sync Mechanical helped me make an informed decision and also learn more about how my boilers work. I never felt like they were condescending and I appreciated their respect for family as well."

He completed the work in an impressively short amount of time. His work was meticulous. This year, on June 6, 2019, after starting up the system we noticed it was not cooling as it should. "Sometimes you just get lucky. We got super lucky when we hired D. Rohde to fix our A/C. Our technician Mike A. showed up with a helper/trainee, explained the estimate fees and then went to work. In less than 10 minutes he was able to identify the defective part, return to the truck for a new replacement part, and then install the new item. In under 30 minutes our main central A/C was back up and running. The second (upstairs) central air unit took another 10 minutes to diagnose and then about 40 minutes of grueling work in a super-hot attic to drain out the overflow tray, cut, blow-out the drain line, and repair the drain. Once drained, the unit is again working perfectly. It is great when a technician shows up and really is an expert. Mike A. is such an expert and also extremely friendly. Brandon, the assistant/trainee was also great and someday will make a great technician using all the knowledge learned from Mike's expert tutelage. I will recommend these guys to everyone I meet."

"I received service in January 2021 for a problem I was having with my hot water heating system. Problems were solved after replacing some components and I was not happy with the overall outcome of the way the repairs went. I paid for the service and everything was working but I felt like I had been given a wrong diagnosis based on details I will not get into. As a result, I gave an unfavorable rating grade. Recently I was contacted by one of the owners to discuss my experience. Ray and I had a long conversation and came to a reconsideration of the bill I paid. Ray has always been extremely pleasant to converse with and at the conclusion offered to refund the complete charges for the services in question. I never felt like I was taken advantage of, but was not comfortable with the process of the diagnosis and the resulting charges. I was left wondering whether other options, or tests should have been considered but I did not want to seem like I was questioning the technician opinions or skills. I new his skills were on an expert level but that does not necessarily mean that an error could not occur. At any rate I am going to try to remove my original rating and wholeheartedly give 5 stars across the board for Polar heating and plumbing. The fact that I was contacted to discuss my concerns and given a refund when I was not even anticipating this is a testament in itself that they are truly concerned with their customers opinions and ultimately the outcome and status of their work. I will continue to consider them with any needs I have in the future and am removing my earlier rating for them. Businesses that go to this level of customer care are, in my opinion, few and far between. Thanks Ray and all your staff for making me feel much better about the experience I had. "Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."
