"The plumber arrived within the time frame, identified what had to be done and offered different models and price options regarding the replacement heater. Mario the plumber, was very knowledgeable in regards to what the new water heater standards are and what would best work in the space available. After agreeing on the replacement model and price, he picked up the unit from storage and within 2 hours had replaced the unit. During the install he explained in detail the features of the new unit and why new connections (replaced copper with flex piping) would prevent electrolysis due to steel pipes coming out of the heater and copper pipes installed in the home. All in all a very professional job. I would definitely recommend Legend Plumbing to friends and neighbors."

"I had a great experience with the team who first came out and identified the reason I had no hot water to the replacement of the water softener which was the problem. I decided to replace the water heater as well because of its age."

"He confirmed that we had a leak below our foundation.  We already had 1 plumber out  at the suggestion of another party but did not trust his decision about a leak in the home. We had used Medina Best plumbing before a couple of years ago and trusted the company. So we were not surprised to hear about the leak but it just helped to hear it from someone we trusted.  Eloy gave up step by step reasons and explanations of the plumbing on why there is a leak and also gave us a quote on a pin point test. He went into detail what the pin point test would consist of. The static test performed on Sunday was cheaper than the charge we were given in 2008 so that was goood to hear too."

"The plumber was very prompt. He called @ 9 a.m. & said he would be here @ 10:30. He arrived promptly at 10:30, was friendly, professional and courteous and was able to identify the problem right away. The water heater was okay but the pilot was out. He showed me how to re-light the pilot. Unfortunately the service call was $75, a little pricey for re-lighting a pilot! I would, however, use this company again for any future plumbing issues."

"We have been a long time customer of OnTime Elmer (but only because we felt obligated to stick with them due to warranty on many different units and products) but more and more we are disappointed with their inconsistent craftsmanship. This last time, we called to schedule an appointment for our upstairs unit which was not cooling. The first appointment was cancelled by the Service Desk because the technician underestimated another customer's work. They then rescheduled for the next day. During the first appointment, the technician came, he basically serviced the unit and changed a fuse. The unit still did not work. We called back the next day and told them that service had not fixed the problem and that we were also noticing water was leaking from the backup overflow. The service desk said they would schedule "a quality follow-up." When the technician came back, he said that "something had been moved" which caused the unit to stop working. The only person who had been in the attic was him! He collected another $300. I wish he had explained what he was going to do BEFORE charging us again. Apparently he performed a service tune-up but he didn't explain that he was going to do that."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Pleasanton, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
