We couldn't possibly be happier with the work that they did, and their pricing was significantly better than the other quotes we received. Planning Phase: Within a day of contacting the company, Francisco came to our house to give us a quote. A day or two after that, once we elected to go with Home Breakthrough, he drew up the contract and set a date for us to pick out tile. Throughout the planning phase, Francisco and his coordinator Honika, were with us every step of the way. What was particularly helpful was that when we would pick a fixture that may not work for the space (our master bathroom is tiny), he would recognize it as an issue ahead of time, saving us time and money. He was also very keen on laying out different options for us in an effort to keep costs down. Construction: The team the company sent to do the work (Ismael and Ricardo) were amazing. Not only were they incredibly talented contractors, they were very respectful of our home. They cleaned up at the end of every day and were very cautious not to damage any walls or flooring during construction. Most importantly, they did BEAUTIFUL work. We have an old house, so there were numerous issues they had to work through, such as uneven floors, uneven walls, and shoddy plumbing and electrical. They were able to solve all these issues without problem, and the end result was absolutely stunning. Ismael and Francisco were really good about showing us exactly what was wrong, why it was a problem, and explaining how they would fix it. I'm no contractor, but I have done a good deal of framing, plumbing, electrical, etc in the past (most of my friends are in the trades). I can guarantee you that if this company tells you something is an issue that needs to be addressed, they are not trying to up-sell you. They know what they are talking about and they are really good about finding solutions to problems in the most cost effective way to you. You will not find a more honest company than Home Breakthrough. Once all the issues were solved, construction of our new bathroom went very quickly. We went with an ornate herringbone pattern for the tiles on one of the walls in our shower, which Ismael installed perfectly, despite needing to custom cut the majority of the tiles for that wall. The speed with which they finished up the project is a testament to the diligent prep work Ismael and Ricardo did ahead of time. They didn't even need to shim the cabinets or vanity! Even in new constructions you usually need to shim, but the walls and floor they installed were perfectly level and plumb. Final Thoughts: If you are looking to do a remodel, this is the company you want. The entire team was a pleasure to work with, we saved several thousand dollars going with them over another company, and our finished bathroom is literally perfect."

"This was definitely a 5 star operation from the initial discussions to the finishing touches! For a major renovation and upgrade to our master bathroom we reviewed potential contractors and their customer comments. VKB stood out. Our VKB designer Sean clearly has artistic talent and lots of design experience. He patiently worked with us, showing us 3D design options as we considered alternative configurations and materials. When we were satisfied with the design, Sean transitioned us smoothly to the build phase, introducing Jason as our project manager and Walter as our crew chief. Sean personally familiarized Jason with the project, inviting us to share our thoughts and any concerns. During the renovation, Walter and his crew would carefully isolate the MBR work from the rest of the house, sealing off the room and path to the front door with plastic barriers and floor coverings every morning and remove them every evening. Everyone was polite and sensitive to our living space. Jason was responsive to our wishes to refine several design aspects as the work proceeded, and Walter and his crew smoothly made the alterations. After the main construction was completed Jason remained very attentive to our ‘punch list’ of remaining details and our questions until all had been resolved. Walter ensured very high-quality work down to the finest detail. All the work from design to completion was well within the timeframe we had hoped. In the end, we have a beautiful MBR well beyond our original expectations!"

It went amazingly well.  We were worried about the disruption that would be caused by having our bathroom, which is attached to our bedroom, torn apart for several weeks, but Devin and his team could not have made it easier.  They put plastic sheeting over everything in our bedroom during the day during the demolition phase, and also rolled up our very large rug (and replaced it under our king-sized bed after they were done with the work).  They got everything done in the amount of time promised.  The crew were uniformly terrific -- nice, incredibly competent guys.   Devin was  great to work with.  Anything we wanted, he was able to figure out.  He could not have been more accommodating or helpful.  We've worked with a lot of great contractors over the years, and Devin is definitely a star.  Our bathroom designer, Debbie Gray, recommended him, and they worked together really well.  I have recommended the team to several friends already.  "

"Called before they showed up promptly in the window given.  I bought a Big Deal and would have been happy if they had just hauled the 4 cubic yards I'd paid for, but they were able to take everything for an additional payment.  
They hauled and bagged (as they have a panel van rather than a dump truck--the company primarily does restoration and mitigation) and, with the use of my lawn tractor and trailer (it was a LOT of stuff), were able to get everything around the house and to the driveway quite quickly!  I should have warned them ahead of time of the scale of what I had since we had to scrounge for additional contractor bags, but that was entirely my fault, since I hadn't been prepared for the fact that they'd be able to take the full pile.
I was very impressed with how clean they left the "dump" area that my contractors had used.  Very nice attention to detail.

"We interviewed several different contractors for this work (approximately 7-8) since we knew this was going to be a large and expensive project. We felt most comfortable with Bret who took the time to understand our needs/wants and drew up a scope of the plan and a proposed layout of what we were looking for. Upon seeing his estimate, it came in on the lower end of our other contractors and based on his good reviews, we decided to move forward. Based on getting permits, the start of the job went very quickly. We have gotten quite a bit of work done in our home and have to say that Bret's crew were very professional, knowledgeable, and did very high quality work on what was done (I wish I had gone with Bret and his company for other past projects). A big plus was as we move forward with the project, we had several design changes done and Bret and his team were willing to accommodate the scope which was very helpful. While the project was going on, we also had a baby born and all the meanwhile, no interruptions in the work nor much of our time was needed to keep things going. As mentioned, our project was turn-key so his crew did everything including framing, drywall, plumbing, flooring, painting, all finishing touches to the end. What started as a basic job became a highly custom job but Bret and his team were up for the task. We are thrilled with the end result and glad we get to enjoy it with our friends and family for many years to come. In fact, everyone that has come by our home and sees the basement thinks it is really good work. This coming from someone that is very meticulous and particular. Whether we had a very minimal job or a high-end custom job, I would be confident to go with Bret and his team for the job."
