They said that condensation from that vent was the reason for the water leakage. Though it wasn't technically a plumbing problem, they offered to seal the hvac pipe with a sealant preventing future condensation leaks. They charged me $140 which was the hvac fee which was lower than a plumbing fee. I am pleased! They gave me names of 2 local hvac repair companies if we needed. For future plumbing issues, we will not hesitate to call Platinum Plumbing again. We have learned to trust the professionals we have used from Home Advisor.
