"After leaving a message on Angie's List on Saturday, Jim Stephens responded within an hour or so. After exchanging information, he volunteered to make a service call the next day Sunday. Because of my 5-day work week, this was a big relief. On Sunday, he called, as agreed, and asked if he could be at my house in a few minutes. As agreed, he arrived promptly. He diagnosed the problems and, at my request, provided details for solution fix. He had the part in his van and explained how the fix would be done and how it would work. In addition to providing a high-quality solution, he provided, at my request, education about a related issue - the exterior drain for the sump pump. He thoroughly explained how the exterior drain could be extended away from the house to mitigate the fact that the water flow was eroding the soil near the foundation. When Jim left, I was a completely happy customer. I knew that 1) it was not necessary to replace the sump pump and 2) I had the knowledge, going forward, to know how to routinely check and maintain the sump pump functionality. Without hesitation, I can honestly say I will be calling JM Stephens for all my plumbing issues in the future."

"We had a minor flooding incident in our basement caused by heavy rain.  I called MJ the next morning and John came out later that day.  Based on his assessment we elected to move forward with carpet and water removal immediately, which started later that night.  The two guys who came to do the work, Chris and Raymond, were exceptional!  They worked steadily until just after midnight to complete the initial cleanup job, including moving a lot of our stuff around the basement to facilitate their work.
The guys came back a few days later to remove any wall material that had been damaged.  After
inspecting the walls, we decided that no water had reached the drywall and it didn?t need to be removed/replaced.  This saved a lot of work, allowing me to begin the flooring replacement project much sooner.
We opted to have a French drain system installed to mitigate future risk as well.  It was a little challenging to schedule this project, but the guys completed that job in under a day as well.  They also inspected the walls and foundation, and made a few repairs where needed.
Melissa was a joy to work with throughout the process, always quick with an email or text reply to keep us informed about the
scheduling progress.  The overall cost was below what I expected to pay for such an extensive project and the service
was top-notch at every turn.
I hope the measures we now have in place will prevent a reoccurrence, but would definitely call MJ again to handle this kind of
flooding recovery.  They were fast, efficient, thorough, and cost effective.  Thanks for the great work!"

"Went well to this point of replacing parts. Then the United needed to have a system leak test and then needed freon put in pump. This was refused by Choice warranty. We were left with a partial repair and a heat pump not able to do it's job."

"We recently purchased a recently renovated century old farmhouse. Then we learned the title agency paid the wrong home warranty company. We made the title company pay the proper warranty company covered in our contract due to reviews --- best decision we made. They were help in sorting out the problems with the Title Company and they made sure we were happy with the repairs. When one repairman bailed on us, American Home Shield came to the rescue. Couple of months later a pump failed on the clothes washer and it was repaired in just a few days. $75 for each claim for the service call and the repair is covered. I am afraid they have paid more than the cost of my policy at this point. But that is what insurance is for. Definitely keeping them in the future. Highly recommend."
