"I wanted to receive quotes for a siding project from several companies and debella debt out Blake & Brady for the initial quote. They were very friendly and professional and unlike other companies respected the fact I wanted to do this in February. They were very supportive and didn't try to pressure a same day sale. The actually spent over 5 hours at my home going over all the details and answering my questions. The found the right serv6fir me within my budget so I signed up now for them to start in February. They are one of only 2 actual certified james hardie color plus installers in idaho in I feel confident they will do a fantastic job."

"We’ve been intending to write this review for quite some time, as Love Your Stucco worked on our house two summers ago (2017). In short, Randy and his son, Chris, were great and their crews did a great job. We initially talked with Randy at a trade show about having some manufactured stone put on the front of our then all-stucco house and weren’t considering any stucco work. But when Randy first came out, he looked at our house and showed us where the stucco had sustained significant hail damage. I at first was somewhat skeptical about whether the damage was that significant and required repair work, but in listening to him and asking several questions, my wife and I realized that he really knows his stuff. Randy then worked with us in designing where we would put stone of the front of our house, and ultimately we obtained separate estimates from him for both the stonework and the stucco work. At Randy’s suggestion and with his support and documentation, we made a claim under our homeowners’ policy for the stucco damage caused by hail. We were very pleasantly surprised when the insurance adjuster came, inspected our house closely including the roof and gutters, and then prepared an estimate that included replacing roof vents and gutters as well as stucco repair and coating. Amazingly, the adjuster’s estimate for the stucco work itself, which was approved by our insurance company, was higher than Randy’s estimate. In the end, we retained Love Your Stucco to do the stucco work and act as general contractor to do the stonework, replace the gutters and roof vents, and do trim painting. The work took several weeks but throughout, Randy, Chris and their crews were very professional and did an excellent job. They were also very accommodating when we made a couple of last minute changes. In particular, we selected the stucco coating colors fairly late in the process and then at the last minute again changed colors. No doubt Randy and Chris were frustrated with us, but they handled it like true professionals and simply went with the flow. Consistent with many of the other reviews, we highly recommend Love Your Stucco."

"I have been waiting four years to find someone I trusted to replace our windows. We had used another popular local company several years ago to replace a few of the windows but wasn't quite satisfied with the installation. Rich came out and walked the project with me several times and went over what we wanted. He also sent out Junior and Mario Oros, the meticulous craftsmen in charge of the project. We wanted architectural steel siding for one whole side of our home, and the balance LP Siding. No one in this area I had spoken with had experience with installing it. Junior and Mario were interested, and had to learn how to install it. They met with the rep from Denver, and proceeded to plan the project exactly as we wanted it. We structured it as two separate projects; the windows first, then the siding. There were a few structural changes we made while planning the windows, and the guys went with it and did a fantastic job. They finished the windows and had them painted - something no other local window installer does. After the windows were installed we had window shades installed, and the installer commented on how square the window frames were and how rare that was. The Oros team of Junior, Mario, Martika, Jason and Isaac are all honest, easy to get along with people. They were a pleasure to have around for the three months it took to get this project done. I would highly recommend them."

"We love our new deck built by New Creation Decks (NCD) and expect years of carefree use. If the design is straightforward, just about anyone can build a deck. Heck, even I built a deck once. Where New Creation Decks shines is when a customer's project is complex or has design challenges. Ours was such a project. We have two 4' tall retaining walls with the lower wall just a few feet from the rear of our house. One of the companies we called actually declined to submit a quote because they felt our project was too challenging. New Creation Decks was able to overcome the limitations presented by the closeness of the retaining walls and provide us with a large, welcoming deck. New Creation Decks has an architect on staff named Peter Kavanagh. He met with us, discussed our requirements and budget constraints and returned a few days later with CAD drawings of his proposed design from multiple perspectives. Peter's design mirrored the angles of our house and included extending our outdoor living space by adding an ironstone patio adjacent to the deck. Rather than conventional railings, the deck features cables and tempered glass that increase the feeling of openness. The design also features a stone wall face added to the lower retaining wall that incorporated the same stacked stone used in our family room fireplace. New Creation's carpenters executed Peter's vision. It was fun to watch the progress as the CAD drawings came to life. There were delays and issues with the subcontractors responsible for the railings and patio, but NCD promptly and effectively dealt with these issues. After the project was completed, there were a few minor issues, but these were also satisfactorily addressed. Most impressive was when, over a year after our deck was completed, we suffered wind damage to one of the tempered glass railings and NCD still stood behind their work and completed repairs at no charge. It was always a pleasure working with everyone we met from NCD. We appreciated that workers always showed up when expected and kept a clean work site."

"I was looking for someone who could repair the cracked mortar in a few spots on my front steps and porch rather than replacing the entire brick walkway and steps to the front door. I didn't even know what kind of services would be required, but after searching on Angie's List, I found Phil Collier of Our Family Builders who had experience with brick and mortar. He promptly responded to my inquiry and came out to assess what was needed. He was honest with me up front about the issues with repairing only the cracked areas because it would not be possible to match the existing mortar (which is at least 15 years old). Because he was uncertain as to how satisfied I would be with spot repairs, he proposed an hourly rate for the work so that we could adjust as needed. This seemed reasonable to me, and I asked him to go ahead and do the work. He scheduled a time when I would be home (on a Saturday) so I could see how things looked when the work was done.
Between the estimate and when he came to do the repairs, he had done a lot of thinking and investigating, and he had a different plan to make sure what he did would look nice and coordinate all of the walkway as well as blend better with the rest of the house. This involved sealing the existing brick so that the new mortar would not stain the bricks, then essentially "regrouting" the walkway and steps. Phil selected a color that he thought would blend with the brick on the house (the walkway and the house use different brick - inherited from a previous owner), and it did match well and look good when finished.
The process involved multiple days and multiple trips to the house to accomplish, but the end result looks great. Phil was easy to work with, polite, professional and showed up when he said he would. The only downside is that it cost a bit more than I expected based on the initial conversation about approaches. However, given the work involved and the number of hours Phil spent at the house, the final total was reasonable, and the results should last for a number of years. I am very happy with the outcome and would definitely use Phil and his company again."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Pueblo, CO

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
