"I called Freedom systems to setup a consultation for security cameras. Jimmie showed up on time and gave me a lot of helpful information over and above what I was seeking. The quote was about $400-800 less than other's I've received, and the other companies took days to schedule a consult. I settled on 4 Hikvision 4 megapixel cameras and matching 8 Channel NVR. His installer was at my house about a week later installing the cameras. Installer Din, I think his name was, did a wonderful job hiding and securing all wires. He was courteous as well. About a month later, I noticed one of the camera feeds looked different than the other three. Jimmie had his installer swap the camera out for a new one. The system has been working flawless ever since. I had to contact Jimmie once more because Comcast changed my modem and the settings needed to be setup again. Jimmie replied after hours and followed up with a phone call the next morning, walked me through the setup. I'm very happy with the professional service and follow up commitment from Freedom Systems. Will definitely be using them again."

"This project went well. My systems are usually complicated but they always seem to get it running the way I want. Been using them for several years and plan to keep using them. For what I get it is well worth the money. better than any other local service and usually available whenever I need them. That alone is worth the price."

"AJ was very responsive, punctual and polite; he did good work on most of the smaller jobs, as well as building the shed ramp, which looks great. However, I was unhappy with some items; initially the towel rack wasn't level and I had to have him adjust it.  He came back two more times at my request because not all house keys worked in the rekeyed lock.  The new exterior door is the worst problem; the threshold doesn't sit flush on the cement like the original, the caulking job is messy and bare wood is visible which wasn't primed or painted, and about 1/2 inch of bare wood is visible above the lock plate where it was chiseled out when AJ attempted to install it the first time at the wrong height.  All nails and screws in the door are plainly visible, although countersunk--I spackled over them myself.  When I expressed my concern about the threshold, AJ inserted clear caulking underneath which did improve the looks somewhat.  All in all, somethings he did were fine, others were definitely subpar quality.

FAQs for home theater system or media center installation projects in Puyallup, WA

For those on a budget, a home theater system can be installed for as little as $5,000. This simple setup, which doesn’t require professional installation, includes essential components that provide reliable visual and audio performance. It's a budget-friendly way to enjoy movies, TV shows, and live events from the comfort of your home.

Plan to spend at least $70,000 for a high-end home theater. At this price point, you’re paying for advanced components, including flagship projectors, reference-grade speakers, dedicated subwoofers, robust A/V receivers, and professional installation. These features deliver outstanding picture quality, rich surround sound, and a polished finish. Costs climb quickly when you add custom seating, acoustic treatments, and smart-home integration, so ask your installer for a detailed estimate before committing.

The ideal screen size for optimal home theater viewing ranges between 100 and 120 inches. A well-proportioned home theater room measures 24 feet by 15 feet, with a minimum ceiling height of nine feet. However, smaller spaces, such as 15 feet by 20 feet or 10 feet by 12 feet, can also work well. These dimensions enhance acoustics and visual performance, creating an immersive entertainment environment.

A well-built home theater room should last as long as the house, but the electronics inside need periodic attention. Plan to review your equipment every four to five years to see whether new formats, connection standards, or performance upgrades justify a change. Upgrading outdated projectors, receivers, or streaming devices keeps the system running efficiently and prevents compatibility issues, all while protecting the investment you’ve already made in the space.
