"Andy came out to look at my garage door which was completely out of alignment and wouldn't close. He gave me a call 30 minutes before he arrived and was right on time. Very friendly and personable! He assessed the problem and said he could fix it right then. He had the garage door working perfectly in less than an hour! He also tighten all the bolts and lubed the hinges and springs. The service was only $159 which I thought was very reasonable. I had called another company earlier who quoted me $1,000 telling me I had to replace the garage door opener with a new one in order to fix the problem. "I called 3 referrals from Angie’s list. I called Easy Open Door Co., Inc. on a Monday morning and Sherry set up appointment for Randy to come out on Wednesday for measurements & quote. Randy was prompt, professional, gave me the facts without pushing products; answered my questions and left me with brochures and a quote for the choices I made. I called Friday of the same week and the door and garage door opener were installed the following Thursday by Devin, who was also very nice and professional; worked quickly and cleaned up and hauled away the old wood and door. The bottom sides and trim around the door needed to be replaced. So Randy came back and replaced the wood while Devin was preparing the installation. Because Randy could not find matching trim, he routed the pattern in the trim himself so it would match the existing trim which was from when the house was built in the 50’s. I need to paint it myself, but that’s not an issue. I think Randy went above and beyond to make sure the trim matched. I also spoke with Michele who called the day before as a reminder for the installation. Very pleased with this company and the people I dealt with. I will definitely recommend this company to anyone needing a new garage door or if a new garage door opener is needed. They will also service the door and replace the battery back up as needed on the garage door opener. As for the other two referrals I called, the first one I called was rude on the phone and the person they said would call me back never did and the 2nd number I called quoted high on the phone, came out the day after Randy was here, so I already knew how the process would go and the dollar amount more or less, and this person was not professional, verbally padded their prices for the same brochure I already had, unknown to him, and said they’d get back to me with their formal quote once he talked to the installer - I’ve never heard back. "The materials and installation were fine. However, they installed the new tracks too low and the cabinets would not open more than 5 inches! I called several times to call it to their attention and basically was told their job was to install the garage door and any other issue not directly related to the door itself was my problem. I was not in a state to fight it so anything kept in those cabinets remains there. Their attitude was extremely unprofessional, particularly when the installer clearly was at fault. If you hire them, stand by and watch the installation!"
