"Tess was extremely responsive! He quickly diagnosed my pinhole leaks and repaired them. He had to use a little ingenuity in order to make the repairs, as my pipes lay against a wood ceiling strut. He also located another plumbing issue that I may need to keep my eye on. I would definitely hire him again!"

"Had them come out for their angie's list $199 toilet install. I bought a toilet at Home Depot and when the technician opened the tank was broken. He was courteous and didn't charge me for coming out. He said just call use when you get another toilet. Got another toilet and checked to make sure this was in good order and the plumber back out. He was very friendly and did quick work. The toilet was installed properly and he did a great job caulking it at the bottom very neat. Everything was cleaned up. Highly recommend."

"
I've owned 3 old homes over the last 28 years. This was my best experience - ever - with any contractor.

When you hire All Steamed Up to work on your heating system, you get partners Frank and Gordon - they have no other employees. These guys have a wealth of knowledge gained from decades of hands-on experience at troubleshooting, repairing and replacing heating systems, which is more relevant to me (as a homeowner) than mixing in time spent running a large business.

Both Frank and Gordon are thorough, thoughtful, honest, conscientious, resourceful, funny, courteous, knowledgeable and humble - and they're perfectionists about their customers' systems. I could add to that list, but they're simply great people and just the kind of folks you want to work on your home.

Also, they?re not out to pump up the price of a contract by installing components you don't really need. They're interested in getting your heating system working properly at minimal cost. I got estimates from 5 companies. 4 of them proposed brand new boilers, but not Frank. He took one look at my 9-year-old Columbia boiler and told me I didn't need to replace it because it was still a current model - that he could simply swap out the oil burner with a new gas burner.

Frank's honesty and knowledge saved me $2,600 to $4,300 compared to the other estimates. Plus, the price included a new interior 25? gas supply pipe that the other estimates didn?t. And Gordon's valve upgrades are top-notch, maximizing system flexibility and minimizing future service costs.

Frank and Gordon gave me value, quality and the peace of mind that comes from knowing my heating system is in the best hands out there.

"

"we were looking for a new company when I saw Brooks has good reviews and a coworker said he knew someone worked in the other part of their business,, I called set up the appointment, staff was nice and set up the date and time, I was not there but someone was and the Tech I talked to on the phone and gave the go ahead to perform the Repairs.I believe he did very well and was very professional. when I returned there was no paperwork, I also checked the heater to see if indeed the sensor was replaced which it was but noticed the filter had not been changed out and it was dirty, I thought it should per our new service contract so I called and the lady said they could send one out, I told that would be fine or when the tech is in the area to drop it off, paper work I did received it's vague not really a contract of sorts or knowing what's included. i did not call back and went out and bought a filter myself. The reason I am leaving a C is because of the Filter that should have been included in the price of the new service contract.
"

"Erickson plumbing took our "partially" roughed in bathroom space in our basement and completed the plumbing for the new bathroom. They also laid a new shower pan and drain for the new shower. They did a fantastic job -- working quickly and completed the job thoroughly. When the previously roughed in pipes (not by Erickson) started to leak when we first turned the water on to the bathroom, Ken came out right away and fixed the problem for no charge (it was not even his piping that was leaking). He also came back after we had installed the toilet and vanity/sink and checked our plumbing connections for no extra charge. Also, when he came to run the shower pipes and discovered that the existing bathroom framing was not square, he called a contractor friend who was able to immediately send someone at a reasonable price to fix the framing so that he could continue working as planned. He is now our go-to plumber.
"

"Jim Hobbs came out to provide the initial estimate for installing the gas line to the fireplace. He was prompt and very efficient. I received the estimate by email the next day. While he was on the premises, I asked him to look at my furnace air supply and exhaust because they were too close to the ground and in big snowstorms they would become covered and cause the furnace to shut down.
The job was completed when installers were ready for the gas line. This was all coordinated between the contractors. HGH installed two cut off valves which provides an extra measure of safety since the one cutoff valve is under the fireplace and not easily accessible when the fireplace is running. Furnace vents were raised at the same time so I e was on the premises I expect a trouble free winter next year.
The overall experience with HGH was seamless and efficient.
"

"Our house is about 100 years old and had the original galvanized piping which corroded over time with poor water pressure. We sought 4 quotes from Angie's A rated plumbers. Though Abbott's was not the cheapest, we determined they would bring the best value based on how the estimator, Richard (who was also the plumber who did the work) communicated his plan and recommendations and our perception of his experience using copper tubing (our preferred, but costlier piping material). Like the lowest priced plumber, he quoted the same brand water heater that many plumbing companies use, but we preferred the Rheem brand and he was the only plumber who offered it. Abbott Plumbing, and Richard did not disappoint us. He showed up on-time on the day the plumbing was to occur. He worked very hard with his helper to remove the old galvanized piping and his copper tubing and soldering connections were of excellent workmanship. Copper tubing was installed throughout the basement, to the first and second level of the house connecting the sink, dishwasher, laundry tub, bath, shower, and toilet. He installed a connection for the refrigerator ice maker, and attached hose bibs on the front/ back of the house, while connecting new piping to the water heater. Though water needed to be turned off and on during the 3 days, Richard was polite and considerate of our needs for water while we were living in the house. He and his helper made sure to clean up after themselves, and the result is that we have excellent water pressure, and pure water as he also installed a whole house filter at the source of water supply. He gave us a 1 year warranty on the work, and 6 years warranty (parts only). We are very pleased to say the least, and would recommend Richard and Abbott Plumbing to our best friends. He's going to give us a quote on our drains now, which also need replacement.
"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Randallstown, MD

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
