"Jim did a great job. He quickly assessed the problem and then took our unit with him to work on it more. When he got back to us, the fix would have cost more than it was worth. He gave us options for a new or refurbished PC. We felt the refurbished was a good deal and chose that. He came back and set that up and we are very happy with it. He then took a look at my laptop and again took it along. He tuned it up and installed a speed upgrade we wanted. Of course, we paid extra for the new unit and upgrades, but we thought the price was very fair. Jim seemed very knowledgeable and responsive. "Although it took some time to schedule our appointment, our plumber was on time and polite. An extensive review of our house's plumbing system was performed and a 3rd floor toilet was fixed. An evaluation of our 2nd floor bathtub was made and an initial guess as to the cause of a leak was made and verified. An attempt was made to fix the problem, but that initially failed. On a second visit, access to the bathtub overflow piping was blocked by a hidden fireplace. The plumber consulted me about possible actions and we decided on a conservative approach that did not result in removing walls (or the fireplace). A second attempt to seal the bathtub overflow return pipe was then made. We believe this did the trick, but we will no longer be overfilling our tub.
In the course of this "Big Deal" the plumber came to our house on three occasions. We were charged $59 for the "Big deal" which was for an inspection and 1 hr of work and then an additional charge of $150 to fix the 3rd floor toilet. There were no additional charges for the 2nd or 3rd visits.
