Cost was as quoted for one hour labor plus parts which were less expensive than expected. No extra costs for travel time or anything else. We will definitely use again."

"I hired this company based on reviews from Angie's list.  My experience was a bit different than the A + rating they had.  The answered my call for a quote and arrived on time.  The communicated in Spanish about everything.  We all walked the house together and I pointed out everything that needed painting.  We had a discussion about the master bath, the last words I heard George senior tell me was "we can fix this".  They quoted me a price of $3400.00 and said if I got everything done at once, he would take $200.00 off.  I didn't get other quotes because I just moved in and time was a factor, so I can't really comment on price.  During the week, they dropped of a large paint sample thing to make may choices from.  They arrived early to start the two-day job, a Friday and a Saturday.  They finished the job on Saturday, as promised.  My master bath was not painted, the wood on the steps was not painted, they removed all the drapery hardware and it was tossed out apparently, they took a blind down in the master bedroom and I had to remind many times for them to fix it, they did with crazy glue.  The walls and ceiling are beautiful but the trim is horrible.  I am still painting over spots that were missed or the paint was wiped off when they cleaned the floors.  There was a quarter sized drop of paint on my maple dining room table.  There was a large spot of white trim paint on the colored wall in the hall, but worst of all I continue to clean small spots and areas where there is white paint on the oak floors. They did do me one favor and lift a TV back up above the fireplace that had been taken down for painting. They did leave all the extra paint in the basement, one bucket not closed and has a paint roller floating in it.  The worst thing was them teasing my dogs and getting them agitated and pushing each other towards them and laughing.  Overall, I don't think I had an "A" experience.  Unfortunately I would not recommend them or use them again.

"The job turned out to be a two day job, which we knew in advance and planned accordingly. Had to totally tear out the old tub and surrounding walls. Did run into some minor problems due to being an older house.John did everything he said he was going to do, even more. John was very conscientious in doing the work. He truly does do the work as if it was his own home, even brought the plumbing up to code. Answered any all questions I had with no problems. Will definitely hire them again. Should have done this sooner we are very pleased with everything. Great Job!"

"Called about leak Sunday morning. Plumber came out Monday, determined it needed replacement and notified Choice, who approved claim and permitted plumber to order new water heater. Thursday new water heater was installed. Was kept updated every day by both Choice and the plumber. Workers left my garage clean and I have hot water. "We requested estimates from 2 companies, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Surfside Plumbing.  Benjamin Franklin responded punctually and gave us a written estimate.  We wanted to check prices so we called Surfside.  It took a couple of calls, but my husband finally spoke with the owner of Surfside.  He said it wasn't necessary to come out and look at the job and he quoted an hourly rate and an estimate of 1 to 3 hours to complete the job.  His estimate was considerably lower than Benjamin Franklin.  We told him we'd buy the sink and faucets and call to schedule an appointment.  Within a week we had both.  We called to schedule. 

The owner answered our call after several tries to reach him and said he would call back when reached his office.  No return call.  After a few days we finally called and spoke to the owner.  He said he would be out the next day.  He came out and suggested that the sink we purchased would not work well with our silestone counter top.  I agreed and we decided to buy a better quality sink.  Within a week we had the new sink.   Again we tried to schedule an appointment.  It took about a week to finally connect with the owner.  Our sink was finally installed.  The men that were sent to do the work did a great job.  And we saved a couple hundred dollars on installation.  Even considering the problems with scheduling, I think the owner tries to accommodate customers too much, we are very happy with the work that was done.

"EXCELLENT PROFESSIONAL SERVICE!  Called them cold on a Sunday night from my DC home to repair many shingle caps that had blown off the peak of our roof of our townhome in OC- I could see daylight from the attic and the insulation was wet.  They were on my roof Monday morning, in the rain, fixing it completely.  They took before and after photos on the roof so I could see exactly what they had done. They also replaced a cracked vent pipe boot.
