"We had a wet bedroom floor. I thought a pipe had broken in the foundation. Called and spoke with Chris at Wright's Plumbing and Jeremy called within 5 minutes and scheduled to come within the hour. The problem was diagnosed quickly (break in outside faucet vertical pipe in wall) and the repair was done then, quickly and efficiently without much cosmetic damage. I was impressed with their efficiency and professionalism. Will call them again for sure."

"I wasn't home, but per my wife, Very well..Steve came out the night before after 5:00 p.m.thinking he could get he job done then, but realized it was more involved than I was able to tell him over the phone. He came back the following morning, early, and completed the Job very quickly, even running a new drain pipe from my A/C unit in the house that drains through the plumbing in the bathroom sink. Thx Steve for great customer service."

"I'm sorry i do not remember the gentleman's name, but he was very service oriented and friendly. he came to my house and immediately got down to business. He took about 35 to 40 minutes to do the job, didn't waste anytime, and finally made sure that all my other appliance, that relied on gas, were up and running. <br /> Didn't know what to expect, but i will definitely call on them again when i need some help. <br /> thanks again. <br />"

"He was here for like 6 or 7 hours, my front yard was under water and it was freezing outside. He had to go get extra parts which he didn’t have on the truck and he never acted aggravated. He fixed everything and cleaned it up. I was very pleased. You know when you’re freaking out because you got this busted pipe and its freezing. My neighbor came over and knocked on my door and said that I just shut your main waterline off because your front yard’s flooding. I couldn’t shower, I couldn’t brush my teeth and I couldn’t do anything, it was freezing cold and this guy did a really good job. He did the job with a smile on his face so I couldn’t fault him for anything. I used him again but it was a pretty thing major, I had to get some parts replaced in my toilet seat. Our neighbor needed the plumber and I gave her the number too and when he got to the house she said I already fixed it. She also offered him some gas money and he disagreed to take that. I have already recommended him."

"It was just a crazy thing and he didn’t end up having to do anything. I received several references about him and he came highly recommended. He often works with the electrician that I used and they are just nice, honest, and dedicated Christian men. He didn’t end up charging me for his services. I was in contact with him before he even came out and he was very responsive; he always answered his cell phone. He told me that he couldn’t get out but he and the electrician dropped what they were doing to come out because I was in such a bind."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Richland, MS

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
