One important piece was an antique chair that belonged to my wife's grandmother. We moved and the movers destroyed the chair. John fixed chair and matched the finish to the others absolutely perfectly! As someone with an artistic nature, I have an extremely keen eye and an appreciation for the finest details. "If I could give this company a 6 out of 5 stars I would! They did a fantastic job overhauling my mother's deck, back patio, fencing, and front portico. All of the work was absolutely essential for safety and structural reasons, and I'm so glad I chose OSSA to do the work. My mother has Alzheimer's, which presented additional issues, but the entire crew was incredibly kind, respectful, and understanding of the unique challenges they faced. They were responsive and kept me aware of everything regarding the job along the way. My mother is so pleased, and I have the peace of mind that all of her outdoor space is safe, beautiful, and accessible. I will be hiring OSSA to do some work in my own home, as I look to make necessary improvements in the future. I've told everyone I know how how wonderful they are. 6 out of 5 stars!"

"We write this review as a sigh of relief now that our renovation project with River View is finally complete. The quality of the final work is excellent, and the construction crew, architect, and county inspector were all great to work with. The original crew we worked with, led by Edwin, were so hardworking, friendly, thorough, and fast. That's what really pushed us from 2 to 3 stars. However, the process getting here was frustrating and unnecessarily chaotic. Timeline & Communication Issues: Initial promise: We were clear that the renovation had to allow us to live in our home during construction and be completed before Christmas. Early communication: Our original project manager, Cris, was personable, and early communication seemed fine, if a bit informal and sometimes inappropriately personal. Major miscommunication: Near the holidays, we discovered that the plans submitted included cutting into the roof — something we explicitly said we didn’t want. This contradicted verbal assurances and caused major last-minute changes. Project Management Failures: Poor planning and oversight: Cris and the architect’s plan didn’t align with the construction work. We had to get involved directly with the county to fix errors. Paperwork errors: Incorrect submissions to the county added delays and confusion, which we had to monitor ourselves. Last-minute scramble: We were cleaning up dust on Christmas Eve due to these planning failures. Personnel Turnover & Lack of Handoff: Cris leaves the company: No proper handover to James, the new PM, who was unfamiliar with our project. Crew replaced: The original crew, who were great, were gone; new crew had no context or direction. James leaves: Another handoff with no context — the third PM had no idea about our project or its outstanding items. Escalation mishandled: When we raised our concerns with Kyle, the CEO, the response felt dismissive, with no accountability for the previous missteps. In summary, it's a beautiful end result... but we’re glad it’s over. The process left us frustrated, confused, and frankly, exhausted."

"From the initial planning to the final inspection, everything went smoothly and the work was done in a timely manner. The work crews were professional, and did a careful job on everything. I was surprised that there was more sealing and protection applied to the underlying structure than I anticipated, more than code requires, and the deck should last a long time."

"We had our master and hall baths completely gutted and rebuilt. We bid the project out to several companies, and DMV was immediately the most helpful. Pricing was very competitive. Luis and the team completed both bathrooms in about 6 weeks - and this was a full demo. The crew was extremely kind and courteous, and worked hard to minimize the mess and impact to our home. One weekend we had a party, and they helped make our home look like there wasn’t a major project in-progress! Craftsmanship was impeccable. The tile work in particular is beautiful - details I hadn’t even thought of were done for me. Like any job, we had some changes to scope (our choice), and some minor hiccups. They were extremely helpful navigating through scope changes, and more than fair on pricing. And on the minor hiccups, they made it extra clear that the job wouldn’t be wrapped until we were satisfied - and that’s what happened. Honestly this experience was a 10 out of 10, and I hope we can have them out for another project soon. Our bathrooms went from blight to bling in 6 weeks - I look forward to getting ready now!"

"I didn't have a great experience with HAL Co. They take FOREVER to return calls/emails. The day they were scheduled to come replace my fence they no-showed and I had to call the office around 4 pm to find out they weren't coming because a job was running late. The rescheduled installation was a day I was in the office. The crew said the outlet in my back yard wasn't working, so they left without calling me or ringing the doorbell to ask about it (the circuit just needed to be reset, which my partner at home could have done). I didn't find out until several hours later when the office called to tell me the crew had left. The fence finally got installed, and a few days later a neighbor found nails in two of his tires. The crew claimed they performed a metal sweep of the area, but now the neighbor is trying to get me to replace his tires. Finally, the gate latch got damaged somehow, possibly in a storm that happened a few days after the fence install, and HAL wanted $130 to replace the latch. I bought a latch kit off Amazon for $30 and did it myself."

"Had an upper and lower deck installed off of the back door. While getting estimates, Nick (Steadfast) was the only company to show up with trex samples. I live out of state and had tenants in the home and they worked on my preferred schedule. Took 5 days as promised. Easy to work with and very happy with the outcome."

The owner, Ricardo Anturiano, and the work crew- led by Ronald — were professional, courteous, and hard working. Ricardo was frequently on site and available to answer questions in person, by phone or text. We interviewed 4 different builders in our area before ultimately choosing DBI for several reasons: First, DBI was able to provide the TimberTech composite boards and railings we preferred; second, they offered the most reasonable pricing for our project; and third, we were impressed with their level of expertise and decades of experience. DBI completed our project within budget and the quality of their workmanship is outstanding. If you are looking for an honest, skilled builder, we highly recommend Deck Builders, Inc!"
