"I was immensely pleased… with the whole process of installing a new water heater. They easily fit into a schedule that was best for me when I called and Howie was the plumber that arrived and was so very personable. He came with my new water heater and explained what he needed to do and installed it without any issues. He put tarps on my carpet and stairs and I think he gets credit for leaving my work area cleaner than when he arrived! He took my old heater (which was 35 years old and very heavy I’m sure) with him and the whole installation was a nonevent for me. At 86 years old I really appreciate the ease with which this could be done for me! I will readily call them for any future issues!"

"We had Marsh Heating install a new furnace, air conditioner and humidifier. They were very professional and had good pricing. When we had a problem with our rebate from Lennox, they took care of it promptly. We would certainly recommend them."

"Todd was fantastic. Fit me in first thing the next day. Very personable. Work performed was exceptional. Price was exactly as we discussed and not out of line from other plumbers. Plumbers own their own business, carry their own health insurance, contibute to their own 401k. carry an inventory, typically have their own truck ( gas, insurance, maintenance, loan payment). So before we, as individuals, say these guys charge too much, we have two choices....learn how to do this ourselves or hire someone who isnt skilled in this trade. I chose to hire a master plumber to get a job done that i couldnt do myself (even though i tried) and am happy with the decision. Read all reviews. ESPECIALLY the bad ones when youre looking to hire a service. Not one bad review on this site states a deficiency in the work Todd performs. Keep that in mind. Will hire again this summer to replace a frost valve that leaks"

"During a recent heat wave, so many AC guys were scheduling initial visits weeks away, and installs additional weeks after that. Genesis came out to review my problem days after contacted, and installed new AC about a week after that. Responsive, courteous, professional and cheaper than the area big HVAC companies."

"Air conditioner turning on when only the fan should be working. Alex diagnosed the problem as a wiring issue when humidfier was installed last year(not installed by S & R). Re-wired and tested each function and now it works beautifully. Thank You S & R."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Rockville, MN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
