"Ac not working and thought it was compressor so found a company that would come out on Sunday. Spoke with tech and he was knowledgable and gave me a good deal of info. The after hours charge was high at $140.00 but it is a hot Sunday so the fee is what I expected maybe a bit more but they were one of few who would come out for an emergency. Ok perhaps no ac is no emergency but still. Lol Tech diagnosed the problem and it was a bad capacitor and he added freon but just a bit. Part cost was $215.00 or so and I researched the part and it only costs $40.00 new but I have zero experience with hvac and I am paying for their expertise plus they had the part etc. it costs what it costs and if you know about these things then yea it would be much less but it is less than a whole new system. I would call them again and there seems to be a wide variety of opinions on internet about that cost but they are a big company and I am paying for their expertise just like my clients pay for mine.

"Paul was great. He thoroughly examined the necessary repairs even discovering a problem that I was having with a strong odor coming from under a bathroom counter. Apparently the installer of my bathroom counter did not seal the pipes properly causing a slow leak and resulting in mold developing under the cabinet. In addition, Paul explained what needed to be done before hand for all repairs, offered options depending on how much you want to spend on materials, took time to listen about my concerns and answer any questions that I had. When the techs arrived, we were told that our basement POSSIBLY had asbestos tiling, and therefore they were unable to use the power analysis machine, or whatever it's called. They sealed a few windows, but doors still have drafts. The price we paid, in advance, was supposed to include that machine..so we feel a bit cheated since nothing was mentioned about that machine not being used."
