"The service provider was very professional and knew exactly what to do; the issue requires further review due limited access to the water pipes which are enclosed behind a wall. We are working on a solution. I will be calling them back, once we determine the best solution. "

"Traditional plumbers and septic service companies did not seem to want my business locating the source of the sewer gas we were smelling. ALD found it within two hours, and provided a recommended course for remediating the problem."

"He had to go through quite a bit to figure out where/how to disconnect my well and reconnect me to city water pipes. It wasn't readily apparent on my property but he stuck with it until he figured it out. I felt the price was more than reasonable for what he had to go through. The city told me that I'd need a new shut-off valve, which I mentioned to him but rather than agreeing, he checked it out first and said I wouldn't. It just needed digging out and reset. He could have just agreed with city - charging me for that labor and material and I would never have known better. Instead he was honest and up front about it - saving me quite a bit of money. I'd use him again. <br />"

"We've been on a maintenance contract for two years. When our furnace stopped working on a Sunday, a tech was out within a few hours but could not diagnose the issue. When the issue recurred on Thursday, I was able to document error codes, and another tech found the problem that afternoon. I asked to expedite the part from Dallas so that a repair could be on Monday, rather than Tuesday. The supplier shipped the wrong part, which was only determined when the tech was out at our house on Monday. Too late to ship the part from Little Rock, the repair was not completed until Wednesday (day 6). While the service is professional, the lack of urgency or proactive communication is striking for a company that proudly advertises its A rating. We will look at other providers for a maintenance contract and eventual system replacement."

"Joe called 45 minutes before arriving to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived he greeted me and was very professional and courteous. I showed him to the bathroom where the compromised toilet was and began asking him all sorts of questions about how he planned to do the repair, and he patiently answered them all, while at the same time making sure I understood the risks and unknowns since this was a broken piece of PVC attached to the sewer line going into the concrete floor. After removing the broken flange, he realized the pipe underneath was cracked all the way down to the elbow several inches below. He immediately came to tell me what he had discovered and updated me with his plan. He had a nifty bit that would allow him to cut the broken pipe out from the inside, leaving a nice surface in the elbow to glue the replacement pipe into. It seemed like almost no time went by and he came to me again to let me know the repair had been completed and the valves had been replaced. When I got to the bathroom to take a look, the toilet was mounted and everything was cleaned up. He demonstrated with a quick flush. Nice! We may have both gotten lucky on this one, but I think this illustrates the caliber of talent Allied retains. I'd hire Joe (and Allied) again in a heartbeat, and I guess I did because this is not the first time Allied has provided services for me."

"We bought an older home and had toilet backup issues just a few weeks after moving in. I called 3 "A" rated plumbers on Angie's List. Jack was very reasonably priced when compared to the other two I contacted (one of those companies wanted $370/hr on the weekend). Jack spent a 1/2 day trying to clear obstructions from the downstairs toilet -- he pulled out cotton shop towels, masking tape and other items likely left by remodelers hired by the previous owner. He also pulled tree roots out which was a bad sign. Unable to clear the blockage, he brought a crew back on Monday to trace the line using an electronic device. Since the line didn't have cleanouts, it's wasn't apparent how the line went from the house to the street. Jack brought an excavator and proceeded to take out the old line (which was packed full) and clear blockages both to the house and from the curb to the street. He installed new PVC pipe with 3 cleanouts. I'm thankful that we were able to connect to existing pipe and didn't have to tear up the new patio. Jack and his crew are a hard workers - spending 11+ hours on this job. He had given me a quote prior to doing the work and actually gave a significant discount since he didn't have to dig as deep as originally thought (4 ft. vs. 7 ft). I would trust him to do any work I have in the future and he will be the first one I call."

"The technician was able to remove the shower drain cover and unclog the drain. He also replaced the washers at the end of both valve stems to stop the dripping. He checked the valve stem seats to make sure they were still smooth and wouldn't damage the new rubber washers. I made the original appointment time but had to reschedule to later the same day. North Star Plumbing was flexible on the timing. They were very responsive in both emails and phone calls. Their actual price was in line with their estimate. We will use North Star Plumbing again."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Saint-paul, AR

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
