"A few weeks ago our gas hot water heater died. We had never used Valdel Plumbing before but were extremely impressed with the entire experience. We found them on Angie's list as being highly rated and there's a reason for it. We called them at 7:30 in the morning and by 11:30 AM had hot water and that's not exaggerating! Their specialist, Steve Ault was awesome and very knowledgeable. He quickly got to work dismantling the old unit. He even had a new heater and all the parts on his truck so there wasn't even a delay in waiting for parts or a new heater to be delivered. He also installed a drip pan, a pressure regulator and re-routed some of the exhaust piping for better venting. The price they charged seemed to be in line with the work performed. Obviously, based on our first time experience, we'd highly recommend Valdel and Steve for any residential plumbing work. Thanks Valdel!"

I've been an electrician for nearly 10 years and I'm an owner-operated company based out of Quakertown. There is no job too small for me. A handful of jobs I take care of are outlets, switches, lights, ceiling, bath, and attic fans, electric car chargers, underground electric for outbuildings, electrical panels, service upgrades, troubleshooting and more.

"Showed up on time and placed on his booties.  Went to the furnace and started to perform the cleaning.  About 15 minutes he came up and said he had to get someone else to assist with the relief valve, and proceeded to let another person into the house, they both went into the furnace room and about 1/2 hour the newest entry came back up from the furnace room and said he had bad news and bad news.
1st bad news, was that the reserve tank must have a internal leak and that it would have to be replaced and the 2nd bad news was that the CO reading was 1116/ppm and that they would have to shut down my boiler or I would have to sign a release to free them on potential risk is they restarted the boiler.
I was floored, and scared,  I thought my CO detector was suppose to alarm when CO went above 40.   So they wrote up a estimate for replacing the 34 year old boiler 6,625 and an estimate to repair 1,350.  I signed the release and then they left.
I went out and bought a CO detector with readings (which hasn't gone above 14) and I then proceeded to contact two more companies.
The one company pointed out where they took the CO reading, they drilled a hole in the flew and placed their probe inside.  I don't know if this standard practice and yes I am replacing the boiler with a company that is more then 25% less,  but this sounded to me like a scare tack to try and sell boiler/furnaces.

"I purchased a Big Deal for $99 for $200 worth of plumbing. He came out and after 15 minutes gave me an estimate of what he thought needed to be done. After the estimate I did half the work myself and went with another service provider for the other half since they were a lot cheaper. I gave him a $100 deposit for originally coming out but they since cashed that. He was professional and thorough, I just decided to go with someone cheaper. I do not understand why they would request and require a deposit when the service was already paid through Angie's List. I would suggest others ask them this as well."
