"It went great! Noreen’s performed professionally and flawlessly each day until the interior painting was complete. This paint job included prepping and spraying custom interior Millwork trims, as well as ceiling and wall painting. The cut lines were razor sharp. They cleaned up well and even took the Ram Board that was on the floor before they started. This was phase one and they are coming back for phase two."

"He stripped the old wallpaper and prepped it for the new covering. After I selected new wallpaper several months later, he returned to complete the job. The brightly colored, plaid wallpaper with its parallel and perpendicular lines was applied carefully to match the irregular angles of my kitchen. Excellent craftsmanship. He was prompt, worked steadily, and finished in a timely manner."

"Hands down a great overall experience! I would hire them to do everything if I could. The project manager, Sam was a great communicator and handled the project seamlessly so that I didn't need to sweat anything. Their painters (and carpenters) are VERY detailed, and highly skilled. If I had any questions/issues, they would fix or explain the details. They went above-and-beyond on painting my house and rebuilding my porch, it was worth every cent. Looks SO GOOD! I would hire them again for sure."

"Jim, Vonnie and their staff are amazing. I had interior painting and exterior trim painting done by them. They were in communication working around unpredictable weather and unforeseen schedule changes with realtor. My neighbors are envious. They are very courteous and meticulous throughout the entire process. I can’t say enough praises for this company. I am a very satisfied client."

"We hired David to patch a section of our ceiling and to also prep and texture the new drywall in our bathroom remodel. They showed up on time, did an excellent job, and were priced competitively. We would certainly hire them again."

"Spectacular. The work was meticulous. Repairs to windows, siding, doors improved function and make dwelling more weather tight. Communication with on-site painter/manager was excellent. He listened, provided valuable suggestions and strove to perfect the appearance of the finished project to satisfy the owners."

FAQs for wallcovering or wallpaper removal projects in Sammamish, WA

You can determine your wall type through tactile and visual tests. Start by checking the surface by inserting a thumbtack, feeling the texture, tapping to listen for a hollow sound, and examining cut edges under outlet covers. Drywall feels soft with a hollow sound, while plaster is hard and solid. These checks are especially useful in older homes where plaster is more common.

After removing wallpaper, you can dispose of small amounts in your household trash. However, if you are removing wallpaper from your entire home, you’ll need to contact a waste removal service, rent a dumpster, or arrange a special pick-up with your municipality’s waste service. Wallpaper cannot be recycled, so it is important to keep it separate from the recycling stream to comply with local waste guidelines.

It takes a professional from several hours up to a full day to remove wallpaper from a single room. The removal duration depends on the type of adhesive, the age of the wallpaper, the condition of the wall, and the number of layers present. High ceilings and additional layers increase the time required, as extra care is taken to protect the wall surface while ensuring a complete removal.

Using fabric softener with water is an option for removing wallpaper, but its effectiveness is limited and depends on the type of wallpaper being used. This low-cost method is most effective on modern, less porous wallpaper and may not yield optimal results on vintage or textured varieties. It might also affect wall surface preparation for new coverings if the residue is not completely removed. For stubborn adhesive or textured surfaces, professional solutions are recommended to ensure a thorough removal without damaging the underlying wall.
