"Great company to work with, on time and respectful of the property. We had an electrical short in outdoor landscaping lights that kept tripping the breaker. Raul and his coworker checked it, estimated the service charge @ $485 for two hours and got right to work. Troubleshooting throughout the wiring, identified several problems and made the repairs. Highly recommended."

"I have to say that this was one of the best experiences I’ve had with a contractor. They call ahead of time, keep their appointments, and do everything they say will do. I would highly recommend Allgood for any electrical work!"

"Two men from GoGen arrived to help me sort out the origin of half my home losing power in the ceiling lights and wall plugs between four rooms. One told me that I needed to upgrade my outdoor electric box and that it was out of code for new homes. They then came into my home to test the electric current in the plugs that didn't work--one by one (even opening my fridge to confirm it was on). One of my breakers was tripped from the winter storm and flipping the switch fixed 95% of the problem. From there, they told me to conduct a diagnoses and repair to one line of connected plugs, the cost would be $365 per set, and that I had two, but they would only charge me for one. The set fee covered up to 4 hrs of work. The repair took 25 minutes and involved snipping a burned wire and re-twisting it with one that was in good condition to restore power. I later called to ask for the 20% Angies List Membership discount, and while hesitant, they honored it. This sort of balanced things out."

"Outstanding communication and very professional service. I would highly recommend Mr. Electric. Received both e-mails and texts on appointment to include a photo and short bio of the actual electrician (Brad Mason) who would be doing the work. Wish all home service providers did the same. Brad was on time (actually a few minutes early). He installed 30AMP breaker and associated RV plug in our garage. To avoid any sheetrock repairs it was necessary for him to drop the line to the house electric panel through a wall with foam insulation, with very limited head/body clearance for him to work. No mess left behind from the actual plug installation on another wall."

"I was moving out of a house and needed light bulbs changed that were too far up for me to reach, and Alan came out and replaced them within a matter of minutes. I noticed on his business card that he also did fence work. I mentioned to Alan that at my new residence I hate a gate on the fence that had recently fallen due to a storm a few days before. He followed me to my house and was able to repair the gate as well, and did it at no charge! I know I made the right choice with ACB Services and will definitely call them in the future."

"Have used Chris and his team on several occasions! 1. They installed electrical and a fan setup for our old outdated first home. 2. Expedited services for me(bringing electrical stuff up to code) to help close on the sale of our 2nd house. Definitely recommend anytime anyone needs electrical services done. Very reliable and we never feel unsafe with them doing work for us!"

"

Sol Electrical came to my rescue after I tried to change out a bathroom light fixture myself and immediately ran into problems.  I had a large hole in the wall.... without an electrical box.... that was slightly off center.  Simon came up with the idea to use a medallion behind the new light fixture to cover the hole.  Using a medallion would also allow us to move the light fixture over slightly.  This was a much better plan than I had (which involved heavy sheetrock repair, etc...) He went to Lowes and picked out a matching medallion and installed the fixture.  I was beyond pleased!

While they were here I asked them to do two additional items: change out an electrical outlet for one with a USB charging connection and change out a light switch panel for a new one I bought at Lowes.  These guys were just great.I will use them again and recommend them to friends and co-workers.

"They hook them onto your circuit breakers, and then your garage circuit breakers, and around your heat pump. They were friendly, they showed you their card when they came to your door so you know they are the right people. They came rather quickly. There was one thing that I didn't particularly like, because our hot water would come on and then go off, and we thought we needed a hot water tank, and so we called the people that we had just bought it from, like less than a year ago. They came over and charged us 85 Dollars to tell us that it wasn't the hot water tank, and told us that we should call an electrician. We call Mister Sparky, and they came out, and they fixed whatever was wrong with the hot water. A circuit breaker was bad, and it was like actually hot to touch when they opened up the circuit, and so they had to replace a circuit breaker. It could have started a fire. They charged us a service charge and they came out and did the work. Then they were talking about apparently a lot of people in the area have a lot of surges, and we decided to go ahead and bought surge protectors. There was a special price if you bought all of them, so we were going to do that, and they were going to take off part of the money from when they came out the first time. They then said that they would come out at this time the second time, and we just said yes, and thought that we wouldn't be charged for the service call, but they charged us for coming out and they charged us more for the specific time that they came out, when they are the ones that chose the time. I liked most of the stuff about them except for that part."

FAQs for electric vehicle charging station installation service projects in San Antonio, TX

Yes. You can plug your EV into a standard 120-volt household outlet, but this is Level 1 charging and it’s slow. A 120-volt outlet adds only three to five miles of range per hour, so a full charge can take days. If you rely on your vehicle daily, plan your charging schedule carefully or consider upgrading to a Level 2 charger that runs on a 220–240-volt circuit for much faster turnaround.

Installing a Level 2 EV charger can raise your home’s value by adding modern convenience and energy efficiency. Buyers who already own—or plan to own—an electric vehicle appreciate a ready-to-use charging station, and many see it as a forward-thinking amenity. By meeting that demand now, you position your property as a smart, sustainable choice that can command a higher price in an increasingly competitive market.

You don’t need to plug in every night. Instead, match your charging schedule to your driving habits. Many drivers find that topping up every few days keeps the battery at a healthy state of charge and extends overall battery life. Occasional, deeper charges are fine for longer trips, but day-to-day, intermittent charging is enough to cover commutes while reducing wear on the battery.
