The other items were repaired as easily. He also found an outdoor outlet that needed repair and fixed that too! He completed the whole list in less than 2 hours. "Amma Electric came to our rescue this afternoon, and I am writing this review to rave about their excellent service!!!  It's the day before a long 4-day Thanksgiving weekend, and we were at our wit's end with an absent electrician and SMUD.  I turned to Angie's List for help.
We are in the middle of a remodel, and we'd been without power for two full weeks.  I needed a new electrician on an emergency basis to come out, change the three big cables that connect our home to SMUD, and do it quickly.  I called Amma Electric, and Cheryl answered the phone in a professional and friendly manner.  She listened carefully, took down the information, and immediately put me in contact with Dan.  Dan was able to come out within the hour to take a look.  Dan left to get supplies and returned to complete the job about two hours later.  We needed to be in contact with Dan while he was gone, and Dan always answered his phone or called us back right away.  I really appreciated that!  Dan was able to do the actual work in about 30 minutes so we were ready for a county inspector to sign off and have SMUD reconnect our power the same day.  Throughout the entire encounter, Dan was extremely professional and thorough.   He was also friendly and sympathetic to our dilemma and went above and beyond to help us get power before the holiday weekend.   Dan knew we were desperate and could have charged us more  money, but his price was reasonable and fair.  He even gave us an Angie's List discount.
We highly recommend Dan and Amma Electric, and we would not hesitate to refer them or use them again in the future.
