Texted them to make an appointment and they suggested a date a few days later (based on my availability). They called while en route to my appointment, showed up a few minutes early and knocked on the door at exactly the appointed time. We reviewed the work needed and I gave my approval to proceed. They accessed my water supply line without doing any damage to the house (wall in garage had to be cut open, but they did that neatly and carefully). This took them very little time and they showed me the work after they verified pressure and no leaks"

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

Two employees came on time and on date that I was promised.  Right away they begin removing old water heater and draining it.  They cleaned area before installing new water heater, which I was pleased with. They answered all my questions and they informed me that my water heater was going to be brought up to code.  Young man took time to show me what was going to be done.  They carry all parts with them so I didn't have to run to Lowes or Home depot to get parts before they got here.  The employees were very polite and professional.  They cleaned up the area very well after they were done too.  The young man showed me what was done before paying them.  Also, I was given an itemized invoice of all parts. The additional fee was $279.00 for parts and bring up to code.
