Over several years our front door began sticking and the deadbolt lock was not properly closing.  Rick came out and after several attempts to adjust the door determined that the door installation required a reinstall.  He took the frame apart and explained the poor job previously done on installation.  He re-set the door, installed insulation and reinstalled the frame.  His work quality was outstanding.  He was very responsive, timely and his price was very fair for the work that he performed.  I intend to use him again.

"I live in Los Angeles but own a little duplex in Austin and it's always hard to get honest and responsive work done when needed on this property.  The tenants called; water was pouring into the living room and I called a top rated competitor Good News Roofing for an estimate.  Initially it seemed to go well; they were very responsive in setting up the appointment; however, following the appointment I was told it was going to be a nine hundred dollar repair and I asked how long it would take ( 2-3 hours). I asked if they would please send an estimate broken down into labor and materials.  After several attempts and twice giving my email addresss, I finally got someone on the phone that explained that their company actually sends someone else to do the work ( guessing sub-contractors) and they can't break it down because this is the amount that they're given.  In addition Good News relayed the recommendation is to "put down a sheet of metal to repair the leak because of the condition of my roof, which would need to be re-roofed in a few years." This sounded a bit ghetto to me but what do I know...Since they couldn't give me an actual estimate I decided to try one other company.
Thankfully I did.  Jamie was amazing, I called and he answered and re-directed me to his girlfriend to set up the appt.
It was the complete antithesis of my experience with Good News.   Set up the appt., they came out, he called me and told me it would be five hundred and fifty and did the work right then and there!  A much more efficient and smarter way to work in my humble opinion.  Also, he sent me before and after photos!  Brilliant! I love this guy!  I'm sure alot of older clients are unable to crawlup and see what's going on and this is such a simple straightforward and ideal solution.  He replaced the damaged roof & shingles and 5 boots and the vent and I have the photos to prove it!  I would recommend them without a doubt.
